RAMALLAH: Editors who cut off their salaries wore their shrouds and chanted their commandments

Illegally occupied RAMALLAH, West Bank: Palestinian prisoners whose salaries have been cut continue to step up in protest at the marginalization of their case by the Zionist puppet Ab-A$$ and the failure to return their severed salaries since 2007.

Forty days ago, the liberated prisoners held a sit-in in the center of Ramallah, where they were attacked yesterday by the Palestinian security services, who confiscated their tents and equipment.

Unresponsive to their demands by Palestinian officials, they stepped up, wore their shrouds and wrote their wills, blaming their martyrdom for the Palestinian leadership and security services. 

This came during a press conference organized by the released prisoners on Wednesday, in the center of Ramallah, where each of them wore his shroud, in conjunction with their continued hunger strike for the nineteenth day in a row, and the water strike for the second day.

According to the common will of the released prisoners, which was echoed by their spokesman Alaa Rimawi: “Our command to you to bury us here in this place, and not pray for us hypocrite and not a liar or a man who is not afraid or responsible and not afraid of anyone under the injustice and did not utter.”

“We recommend that our funerals be the color of Palestinian blood, and that your slogans be historic Palestine.

They concluded their will by saying: “We recommend that you say to every unjust official .. I am not representative of the people who sacrificed for this country.”

Archbishop Atallah Hanna, Archbishop of Sebastia, said: “It is not fair to ignore this national and humanitarian issue with distinction. The freed prisoners are struggling to destroy their lives in detention in defense of the cause of their people. ”.

He added in a statement, that these prisoners deserve our appreciation and appreciation for their sacrifices and for what they have done in order to justice the cause of their people, considering that cutting their salaries injustice.

The Bishop appealed to the Palestinian Presidency, the PLO and the government to correct this mistake and take a quick and urgent initiative to return salaries to those prisoners who may not be wronged in this way.
Hanna expressed his solidarity with the freed prisoners and appealed to the Palestinian leadership to take an initiative to redress them, saying: “Those who sacrificed for the sake of the homeland should not be left to a viable summit of hunger, poverty and destitution.”

The release of the salaries of the released prisoners to 2007 in the wake of the division, and the majority of those who have spent in the jails of the occupation between 10 and 21 years.

It is well known that the released prisoner shall be paid a salary in accordance with the Law of Prisoners and Editors, in case he has been in Israeli jails for more than five years.
