SHAME ON YOU BBC

38 Degrees

We’ve got until next Tuesday to tell the BBC to drop plans to cut services like 6 Music, Asian Network, and the BBC website. We need to use these last few days to send as strong a message as possible.
A huge petition will help prove that the public is against these cuts. The bigger the petition we hand in on Tuesday, the more powerful our message. Nearly 40,000 have signed already. We could easily double that if we all forward it to our friends now and ask them to sign too.
Please forward this e-mail to your friends and family, and ask them to take 30 seconds to sign the petition before we hand it in on Tuesday.

The BBC announced the consultation on these cuts nearly 3 months ago. They said then that they’d rethink if there was “massive public concern”. A huge petition, delivered to them next Tuesday, is our best bet for proving how strongly the public feels.
Together, we’re making a protest the BBC can’t ignore. So far nearly 40,000 of us have signed the petition. Nearly 30,000 of us have sent personal emails to the BBC. Thousands of us chipped in to pay for giant billboard ads outside BBC offices all over the UK. Thousands more e-mailed our election candidates. On Tuesday, at the same time we hand in the petition, people all over the UK will be taking part in flashmob protests outside BBC offices (you can organise one near your local BBC office by clicking here: http://www.38degrees.org.uk/bbc-flashmobs)
Please help make the petition we hand in next Tuesday as big as possible. Please forward this e-mail to your friends and family, and ask them to sign by clicking here:
