PALESTINIAN NAKBA DAY

Explained: The Nakba 70 years on – Middle East Monitor
  • Are you enraged about the Nazi military’s murder of Shireen Abu Akleh? The ethnic cleansing and land theft happening in Masafer Yatta? The brutalization of worshippers at Al Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan?

All of these atrocities are a result and continuation of the Nakba (Arabic for “catastrophe”), Zionists’ forced expulsion and mass murder of Palestinians that began in 1948 and continues to this day.

Our anti-Zionist Jewish solidarity with the 5+ million Palestinian refugees fighting to return to the homes from which Zionists expelled them 74 years ago — and the millions of Palestinians fighting to remain today — shows that the ongoing Nakba is not about religion, but about colonial domination of a native population and control over their land and resources. Our anti-Zionist Jewish solidarity undermines the narratives of the Zionist movement and the Israeli government, which claim that their violence serves and represents all Jews and Judaism.

So show up, make a sign, and support Palestinian resistance to the ongoing Nakba! We’ll see you out there!
