Violation of right to life and bodily integrity:

Palestinian Child Killed, 18 Palestinians, including 7 children and a journalist, sustained live and rubber-bullet wounds in separate incidents the West Bank.

2 Palestinians were shot with live bullets; one in his back while the other in his foot during Israeli occupation forces (IOF)’s incursion into Jenin. Arrests among Palestinians were reported.

7 Palestinians, including 4 children and a journalist, sustained rubber-bullet wounds in excessive use of force during IOF’s suppression of a peaceful protest in Bita village in Nablus.3 Palestinians, including a child, were shot with rubber bullets during IOF’s suppression of Kafr Qaddoum weekly protest in Qalqilya.

5 Palestinians, including 2 children, sustained rubber-bullet wounds in IOF’s suppression of Kafr Qaddoum weekly protest in Qalqilya.

Mohammed Rezeq Salah (14) was killed in al-Khader village, south of Bethlehem, after IOF opened fire at him, claiming that he threw stones and Molotov Cocktails at settlers’ vehicles. More information availableAn 18-year-old male was shot with a rubber bullet in his eye during clashes with IOF in Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah, and he was in serious health condition after shrapnel penetrated his retina, causing severe damage in his eye.

This week, IOF attacks continued in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied east Jerusalem, including imposing closure on the neighborhood, suppressing the protestors with sound bombs and teargas canisters, beating them with batons, and terrorizing them with mounted police officers, storming houses, and damaging tables and chairs placed by the villagers and solidarity activists in front of the Israeli Knesset Member and extremist Itamar Ben Gvir’ office. As a result, a Palestinian sustained fractures in his hand and two sisters and two activists sustained bruises after being beaten by IOF. Also, Mohammed Morshed al-‘Ajlouni (25), a person with disabilities, was beaten by IOF, who tried to arrest him and handcuff him, causing him to panic.

In the Gaza Strip, IOF opened fire 7 times at agricultural lands in access restricted areas, eastern Gaza, mostly in eastern Central Gaza Strip. Also, 3 IOF shooting were reported on fishing boats mostly off the northern, southern, and western Gaza shores. Neither casualties nor damage was reported.

“So far in 2022, IOF attacks killed 8 Palestinians, including 2 children, and wounded 87 others, including 18 children, 7 journalists and 2 medical personnel, all in the West Bank.”

Land razing, demolitions, and notices:

This week, IOF demolished 10 civilian facilities, including a house, 4 small dwellings and a tent, displacing 6 families of 47 individuals, including 28 children and 4 women in the West Bank:

IOF demolished an agricultural caravan in Duma village, southeast of Nablus, under the pretext of non-licensing.Two commercial facilities were demolished in Wadi al-Dam area in Beit Hanina village, north of occupied East Jerusalem, under the pretext of non-licensing.

A Palestinian was forced to self-demolish 40 square meters of his house sheltering a family of 10 individuals, including 6 children and 2 women, in Isawiya village, northeast of occupied East Jerusalem, under the pretext of non-licensing.

A tent, a residential barrack and a livestock barrack were dismantled and confiscated in Kafr Malik village, northeast of Ramallah, under the pretext of constructing in an antiquities area. As a result, a family of 6 individuals, including a woman and a girl, became homeless.3 cease-construction notices were hanged on a water pool, an agricultural caravan, and an agricultural room in Idna village, west of Hebron.Demolition notices were delivered to a 255-square-meter house sheltering a family of 16, including 8 children; and a scrap metal recycling facility in Idna village, west of Hebron.5 demolition notices were delivered to agricultural rooms in Kafr ad-Dik village, west of Salfit.

The Nazis believed in medical ethics. But they were a twisted, depraved  version

4 dwellings (agricultural rooms) were demolished in eastern Yatta in Hebron, displacing 4 families of 31 individuals, including 21 children and 5 women.

“Since the beginning of 2022, Israeli occupation forces made 31 families homeless, a total of 198 persons, including 35 women and 93 children. This was the outcome of IOF demolition of 38 houses and 4 residential tents. IOF also demolished 19 other civilian objects, and delivered 22 notices of demolition, cease-construction, and evacuation.”

IOF incursions and arrests of Palestinian civilians:

IOF carried out 187 incursions into the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem. Those incursions included raids of civilian houses and shootings, enticing fear among civilians, and attacking many of them. During this week’s incursions, 116 Palestinians were arrested, including 14 children and a woman. Also, on 21 February, IOF conducted a limited incursion into eastern Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

“So far in 2022, IOF conducted 1,024 incursions into the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, during which 638 Palestinians were arrested, including 63 children and 7 women.”

Settler-attacks on Palestinian civilians and their properties:

This week, 11 settler-attacks were reported in the West Bank, resulting in the injury of a driver, and damaging 2 vehicles.

Dozens of Israeli settlers organized a provocative demonstration starting from Bab al-Selselah area in the Old City, passing through al-Wad Street to al-Mosrarah area in central occupied East Jerusalem. During which, they chanted slogans against Arabs and Muslim and attacked a grocery amidst provocations with the residents before the intervention of IOF to protect the settlers and disperse the Palestinians from Bab al-‘Amoud area.

Israeli settlers, from “Metarim” settlement outpost, released their sheep in Palestinians’ lands, south of ad-Dhahiriya village in Hebron.

Israeli settlers, under IOF’s protection, attacked a number of Palestinian shepherds in Qarawat Bani Hassan village in Salfit.

A Palestinian driver sustained wounds and his vehicle’s glass were broken after an Israeli settler threw a stones at his vehicle while passing on Ramallah-Nablus Street.

An Israeli settler, from “Halamish” settlement, northwest of Ramallah, threw stones at a Palestinian vehicle passing on a street adjacent to the settlement. As a result, the vehicle’s rear glass was broken.Throughout the week, settlers’ attacks, and provocations against civilians in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem were repeated.

“So far this year, settlers carried out 42 attacks on Palestinians and their properties in the West Bank.

Israeli closure policy and restrictions on freedom of movement:

Israeli occupation maintains its illegal and inhuman 15-year closure on the Gaza Strip. Details available in PCHR’s monthly update on the Gaza crossings.

In the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, IOF continues to impose restrictions on the freedom of movement. On top of its 108 permanent checkpoints, IOF established 97 temporary military checkpoints this week and arrested a Palestinian at those checkpoints. The majority of the checkpoints were in Hebron (37) followed by Bethlehem (16) and Ramallah (15).

“So far in 2022, IOF established 467 temporary military checkpoints this week and arrested 27 Palestinians at those checkpoints.”
