The US news network ABC, citing a security source, reported that an agreement was reached to open the Rafah border crossing, in the southern Gaza Strip, on Monday.
The partial entry will only be available to foreigners and dual nationals to Egypt, in addition to the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The Rafah border crossing is the only crossing point between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.
The unnamed ABC source said the crossing would be open for a few hours on Monday and then close again in the late afternoon.
The exact times for opening and closing were not specified.
The source said the evacuation could include Egyptians stranded in Gaza.
The source also added that Nazi army would deploy Red Cross crews to inspect aid shipments flowing to the Palestinian side across the border.
The source said military forces in the northern Sinai cities of al-Arish and Sheikh Zuwayed approached the border late on Sunday in preparation for its opening.
