REMEMBER THE MILLIONS OF PALESTINIAN REFUGEES
END Zio=Nazi OCCUPATION AND OPPRESSION
62 years ago the formation of the Israeli state through the means of ethnic cleansing created the largest and longest lasting refugee situation in the world. In 1948, over 400 Palestinian villages were destroyed by Israeli forces and 750,000 Palestinians were forcefully exiled from the land which had been theirs for centuries.
The number of Palestinian refugees has since grown to 7 million. Over 4 million Palestinian’s are registered with the UN as they still live in refugee camps and townships scattered across the Middle East.
Israel continues to deny Palestinians the right to return to their homes although anyone who is Jewish from anywhere in the world has a right to settle in Israel, often on land confiscated from Palestinian Arabs.
Israel also continues to brutally occupy the West Bank and to keep Gaza under a medieval siege, not allowing reconstruction after their murderous attack in December 2008/January 2009. Palestinians living within Israel are discriminated against daily.
It is time for this to stop and for a just, sustainable peace which recognises Palestinian human rights and their right to self-determination. Our government is slow to act but you can take action just as we did against apartheid South Africa.
What you can do:
(a) Refuse to buy Israeli goods and ask your local stores and supermarkets to refuse to stock Israeli goods.
(b) Write to your MP asking the government to take sanctions against Israel including ending all arms trade. (Use www.WriteToThem.com)
(c) Sign our petition calling on the Council to end all contracts with companies such as Veolia that help Israel break international law.
(d) Write to your MEP calling for the EU to suspend its preferential trade agreement with Israel until it obeys international law.
