The inhabitants of the Palestinian village El-Farsiyya, located in the Jordan valley, suffer harassment by the army & settlers.
They own a spring, located some 3 km from their village.
Two years ago the civil administration cut the water pipes from the spring, claiming that the spring is a nature reserve.
Having no alternative, they started irrigating their crops with brackish water from Wadi El Milh, flowing some 100 metres from their village. About a month ago the IDF cut these water pipes as well and confiscated the pumps.
The Settlers of Rotem took over about 1000 dunums (dunum = 1000m^2) from the lands of El-Farsiyya, and planted them with olives. The settlers irrigate them with water stolen from the Palestinian village Bardale.

תושבי הכפר אל-פרסיה הפלסטינים, שבבקעת הירדן, סובלים מנחת זרועם של הצבא ומתנחלים.
בבעלותם מעיין הנמצא כשלושה ק”מ מכפרם. לפני שנתיים חתך המנהל האזרחי את הצינורות המובילים מים מן המעין אל הכפר, בטענה שהמעיין הוא שמורת טבע. באין ברירה החלו להשקות את גידוליהם החקלאיים במים מליחים מוואדי אל-מלח, הנמצא 100 מטר מכפרם. לפני חודש צה”ל חתך את צינורות המים והחרים ארבע משאבות.
מתנחלים מן ההתנחלות רותם השתלטו על כ-1000 ד’ מאדמותיהם של תושבי אל-פרסיה ונטעו בהם זיתים. המתנחלים משקים אותם במים שנגזלים מן הכפר הפלסטיני ברדלה..
