Ben-Gurion University President Rivka Carmi sent a letter to all students and faculty on Tuesday denouncing a death threat against Prof. Neve Gordon. It is legitimate to criticize Gordon’s positions, she wrote, but threatening him with physical harm “is crossing a red line.”
Gordon angered many Israelis when he publicly called for an economic, cultural and political boycott of Israel. The death threat letter, which he received about 10 days ago, read: “Gordon, you’re a traitor! I’m coming to Ben-Gurion to kill you!” (Or Kashti )
