According to investigations conducted by the Palestinians Center for Human Rights (PCHR) and the statement of an eyewitness, at approximately 01:30 on Monday, 16 June 2014, Israeli forces backed with several military vehicles and an infantry force of 60 soldiers moved into al-Jalazon refugee camp, north of Ramallah. They stationed in the streets and allies of the camp and then moved into the center to carry out an arrest campaign. Israeli soldiers raided several houses, and dozens of Palestinians gathered and threw stones at them. In response, Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition, sound bombs, and tear gas canisters towards the stone throwers who surrounded the soldiers in the camp’s allies. Israeli soldiers called for backups. Backup soldiers moved into the allies and started shooting heavily at the stone throwers. As a result, Ahmad Arafat Hosny Sumada’ah (24) sustained a bullet wound to the right side of his chest.
