Many of my friends know and surely remember Yahia Abu Amsha , the Palestinian brave wounded young guy , with whom I and some of you lived the most valuable 2 years of our lives. (Amman 2001 – 2003).
To who does not know him:
Yahia was wounded in Ramallah / al manara circle year 2001 when he was 17 years old, in a confrontation with the Israeli soldiers during the invasion and siege of al Muqataa that year.
He had a fragment in his neck lifted him quadriplegic, and without the ability to speak because of the tracheostomy he has in his neck to facilitate breathing after the damage that has happened in his neck.
In addition, to the total dependency on the suction machine, to remove the accumulated fluids in his esophagus and breathing passages.
Yahia was admitted during 2 years in Jordan hospital, with many trial to correct the damage in his neck, at least for him to eat, breath and talk normally but unfortunately without any good results.
He left back to his origin land / Gaza on a wheel chair and without the ability even to talk, connected to a painful annoying suction machine.
But because he is one of the greatest and most grave persons I ever met he left with a smile and with a pride that he lost it all for his dream of free Palestine.
Lately he had the chance to go to Egypt to check the possibilities to close the breathing hole in his neck , and the doctor there managed to heal some of the damage he has in the neck, but still were not able to close the tracheostomy.
He needs a laser intervention to correct all the damage and close it.
This intervention cost 10,000 $
10,000$ might seem too much for many of us. But also it means 10 $ of 1,000 friends.
Yahia does not dream to walk again because he will not .. he does not dream to fight again because he will not , he does not dream to get married because he will not, he does not dream to have children because he will not ..
Yahia only dreams to talk and be heard, dreams not to be afraid not to have the suction machine in his side 24 hour /day, 7 days / a week.
Is that a lot to dream …???????????????????

Muchos de mis amigos conocen y seguramente recordarán a Yahia Abu Amsha, el valiente joven palestino herido, con el que yo y algunos de ellos vivimos los dos años más valiosos de nuestras vidas. (Ammán, 2001 – 2003). Para quien no lo conoce: Yahia fue herido en Ramallah (plaza de al Manara) en el año 2001, cuando tenía 17 años de edad, en un enfrentamiento con los soldados israelíes durante la invasión y el asedio de la Muqataa ese año. Él tenía un fragmento en su cuello que lo dejó tetrapléjico, y sin la posibilidad de hablar debido a la traqueotomía que tiene en su cuello para facilitar su respiración después del daño sufrido en su cuello. Además depende totalmente de la máquina de succión, para eliminar los líquidos acumulados en el esófago y las vías de respiración.
Yahia fue ingresado durante dos años en el Hospital de Jordania, con muchos intentos para corregir el daño en el cuello, por lo menos para darle de comer, respirar y hablar normalmente, pero lamentablemente sin buenos resultados. Se fue de vuelta a su tierra de origen (Gaza) en una silla de ruedas y sin capacidad siquiera para hablar, conectado a una máquina de succión que le molesta y le duele. Pero es una de las personas más valientes que he conocido y se fue con una sonrisa y con el orgullo de haberlo dado todo por el sueño de liberar a Palestina. Recientemente tuvo la oportunidad de ir a Egipto para comprobar las posibilidades de cerrar el orificio de respiración en su cuello, y el médico se las arregló para reparar algunos de los daños , pero no fue capaz de cerrar la traqueotomía. Se necesita una intervención con láser para corregir todos los daños y cerrarla.
Esta intervención costará unos 10.000 $ 10.000 $ puede parecer demasiado para muchos de nosotros. Pero por otro lado pueden ser sólo 10 $ de cada uno de 1.000 amigos. Yahia no sueña con volver a caminar, porque es imposible .. no sueña con volver a combatir porque es imposible, no sueña con casarse porque es imposible, no sueña con tener hijos porque es imposible. Yahia sólo sueña hablar y ser escuchado, sueña no tener miedo de que le falte la máquina de succión a su lado las 24 horas del día, los 7 días de la semana. ¿Es su sueño tan difícil ??????????????????? الكثير من أصدقائي يعرفون جيداً يحيى أبو عمشة، الجريح الفلسطيني الذي عشت و معي بعضكم معه سنةً لا تقدران بثمن في عمان ما بين عام 2001 و-2003 لمن لا يعرفه : أصيب يحيى في رامالله عام 2001 خلال مقاومته لجيش الإحتلال الإسرائيلي فترة إجتياح الضفة الغربية وحصار المقاطعة ذلك العام. اصيب بشظية في رقبته أدت الى اصابته بشلل رباعي و فقدان الصوت والإعتماد الكلي على فتحت تنافس في الرقبة تلزمه على التواجد بجانب جحس شفت السوائل دائماً. قضى يحيى قرابة العامين في مستشفى الأردن في عمان وتعرض لعدة عمليات في محاولةٍ لإصلاح ما يمكن اصلاحه دون جدوى. عاد إلى مسقط رأسه بيت حنون / غزة في تموز عام 2003 على كرسي متحرك ودون القدرة على القيام بأي نوع من النشاطات، ولا أبسطها كالكلام . ولكن لأنه واحدٌ من أشجع وأروع الشخصيات التي عرفتها، عد بابتسامة وفخر، غير متذمر وراغباً في الحياة … مؤمناً أنه فقد كل شئ من أجل حلمه بفلسطين حرة. مؤخراً اتيحت له الفرصة لإجراء عملية ف مصر لمحاولة إغلاق فتحت التنفس، نتج عنها بقاء الفتحة او تحسن طفيف في الصوت. يحيى بحاجة لعمليات ليزر لإصلاح التهتك الحاصل في الرقبه و إغلاق الفتحة كي يتمكن من الأكل والتنافس بشكل طبيعي. تكلفة العملية 10.000 دولار . 10.000 دولار قد يبدو مبلغاً صعباً … ولكنه أيضاً 10 دولار من كل صديق من 1000 صديق . يحيى لا يحلم أن يمشي لأنه لن يستطيع . يحيى لا يحلم أن يقاتل من أجل بلده مرةً أخرى لأنه لن يستطيع. يحيى لا يحلم أن يتزوج لأنه لن يستطيع. يحيى لا يحلم أن يكون لديه أولاد لأنه لن يستطيع. يحيى يحلم فقط أن يتكلم فنسمعه . هل هو حلم بهذه الصعوبة ؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟ كل من يود المساعدة فاليرسلني على الفيس بوك أو على عنواني البريدي hananm77@hotmail.com وأنا سأرسل له رقم حساب والدة يحيى البنكي ورقم هاتفه . وكل من لا يستطيع المساعدة على الأقل إخبار من حوله . مع الشكر الجزيل
