The with-holding of 2000 images from the prisons of Iraq seeks to hide a very dark secret.

The 198 released photos contain little of note, they are mostly close ups of bodies showing injuries, all faces have been redacted with black bars. Clearly, they have picked out the most innocuous images.

Why are these images being withheld? It is simple – it is because they show US military personnel mistreating Iraqi prisoners, torturing, degrading and humiliating them in the most cruel and disgusting ways. As one commentator noted – US troops behaving like ISIS.
Why were these Iraqi prisoners treated in such horrible ways? This wasn’t a case of bored soldiers having some fun, it was far, far more sinister.
It is widely accepted now that ISIS was created by the US and it’s allies in the aftermath of the war in Iraq. We know that the USA, Britain, Israel and other nations provided training, that finance came from the Saudis and their brethren in Qatar and the UAE and the equipment came in through Turkey.
It is also widely accepted that the men who filled the ranks of ISIS were largely recruited in Iraq with contingents from other countries as diverse as Morocco and Chechnya joining them.
So we know that ISIS was created in Iraq in the aftermath of the US invasion, we also know that the Americans were busy torturing Iraqi prisoners a few years earlier. It doesn’t take a genius to put those two facts together and realise that it is no coincidence.
How does torture and mistreatment lead to the formation of a bunch of sadistic, merciless, ruthless and blood-thirsty killers who delight in finding all kinds of cruel and inhumane ways to torture and murder innocent people?
