It is not essential to the understanding of this article, but take a look at this video from
It’s a crocodile-tear fest of so-called journalists and their lawyers, and it nearly made me sick when I first watched it. To start with, how can the press [the term should be taken to mean the media in general] be free if it is over 90% owned and controlled by interests that have an agenda which almost certainly has nothing to do with freedom of the kind of information that the public should be given?
IT’S AN ISSUE OF NEED TO KNOW:
WE’LL GIVE THE PEOPLE ONLY THE INFORMATION THAT
WE THINK THEY NEED TO KNOW.
What this means is that the mainstream media wants—and currently has—the freedom to print and to show you only the information that its owners and controllers want to be revealed, and that has nothing to do with giving their customers vital information that could adversely affect their lives. If you look at the list of the six major entities that control America’s mainstream media it should not strain your brain to realize that they rely on advertising to make the huge profits that give their shareholders the kind of lives that most of us can only dream of. But at what cost? Very little to them, but a great deal to those who are hoodwinked, on a daily basis, not only by what the mainstream media wants them to know, but, more sinisterly, what it withholds from the public; in many cases information that could be a matter of life or death to certain vulnerable people, particularly with regard to food and drug safety.
One need look no further than what is now commonly called The Aspartame Scandal to realize that the mainstream media can and has suppressed the dangers of a very common food and drink additive at a huge cost to the lives of the people it claims to want to protect using its ‘Freedoms’. Give me a break!

As we approach the 13th anniversary of the events that changed the world, forever, if seems appropriate to list some examples of what the mainstream media—with all of its freedoms intact, at least in those days—totally ignored or dismissed as being wild conspiracy theories. I’m talking about the most obvious anomalies regarding the attacks of September 11th, 2001. Even after the 9/11 Commission Report was released, how many so-called journalists questioned these anomalies? So I am going to redress that, in retrospect, with a short sample of some of the headlines that never saw the light of day, but should have.
Considering the enormity of the events and the fact that Benjamin Netanyahu went on record on the day, stating: “It’s very good. Well, not very good, but it will generate immediate sympathy…” Why was this headline not seen anywhere?

Almost every aircraft part carries either a serial number or some other identifying mark, which can be used for maintenance and investigative purposes. Why did the 9/11 Commission not ask for these parts to be matched to the aircraft they allegedly came from?

This engine core landed on the corner of Church and Murray streets. It was vital evidence in the murder of almost 3,000 people, but it was dumped—along with all of its serial numbers—in Fresh Kills landfill, on Staten Island. Strong evidence has since been found that suggests it did not come from a United Airlines Boeing 767.

The FBI has subsequently admitted that a large percentage of the plane-to-ground phone calls could not have been connected. Particularly not the ones from Barbara Olsen, Ted Olsen’s wife, who was allegedly traveling on the plane that allegedly hit the Pentagon.

This video surfaced within hours of the event it shows
The South Tower plane pulled out of its rapid descent over the Statue of Liberty and continued on the last 8,000 feet of its murderous journey. Someone had a camera lined up waiting to take that shot, demonstrating foreknowledge.

Oh yes, members of the press cry Freedom! But only for themselves, not for the people they hoodwink for so much of the time by the information they hold back, or subtly change to suit the agendas of the people who are really in control. Of course Obama is wrong to force a reporter to reveal a confidential source if that is, indeed, what he is doing.
A POSSIBLE AGENDA
Considering that the puppet masters, or mistresses—I don’t want to be accused of sexism—who control the media also largely control the entire United States administration, is it too fanciful to suggest that this tussle between the president and the so-called Fourth Estate is a fairly crude attempt to lull the proletariat into thinking that the press is really trying to be independent, demonstrating that they are actually doing ‘The Right Thing’?
Whatever, the above MISSING HEADLINE examples demonstrate that the people who are now moaning and groaning about Freedom of the Press are the same people who have betrayed the public, time and time again, by either not doing their jobs or by deliberately deceiving the very people they claim to serve. Shame on you all, with far too few exceptions. Seymour Hersh, is one fine example, but many others fall down, particularly on the 9/11 issue.
What we really need to know is:
When are you press people going to get honest?
