and intervene immediately to stop an Jewish Nazi intent to hold a party for alcoholic drinks in the historic Mosque of Beersheba city."We, in Hamas, are warning the Zionist occupation of making such gruesome provocative act which is considered a flagrant violation of the sanctity of mosques and houses of worship and explicit insolence to the feelings of millions of Muslims around the world," Hamas stated in a press release.
It also urged the Palestinian masses in the 1948 occupied lands and human rights organizations to swiftly move to stop such violations. For his part, head of the Turkish religious foundation Nuri Unal strongly denounced the Nazi occupation authority for intending to organize a festival for alcoholic drinks in Beersheba Mosque earlier next month."The intention of Beersheba municipality to hold a festival for alcoholics in the city Mosque is unacceptable and cannot be imagined," Unal said in a press statement."It is outrageous that Israel, whose hostility to Islam and Muslims knows no bounds, will hold a festival for alcoholics inside a Mosque. It is an insult to places of worship," he said.
"Places of worship must be respected. Just as the Jews have synagogues and the Christians have churches, the Muslims also have their own mosques where they worship God," the head of the Turkish foundation stressed.The Israeli municipal administration of Beersheba blatantly invited about 30 manufacturers of wines and liquors to participate in the sixth festival for alcoholic drinks to be held for two days inside the city Mosque early September.
