Ira Forman, a major player in the organized Jewish community, was appointed as the Special Envoy back in 2013. The Special Envoy “advances U.S. Foreign Policy on anti-Semitism” and“develops and implements policies and projects to support efforts to combat anti-Semitism,” according to the State Department’s website.Essentially, the Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism’s primary job duties revolve around hyping the alleged threat of “anti-Semitism” facing Jews across the world, lobbying for more state funding for organized international Jewry, and generally perpetuating the “victimhood” and “special persecuted people” status of Jews both in America and around the world.
As part of his job duties, Forman recently took a trip to Europe, and declared that“many Jewish bodies in Europe are being bankrupted by the growing need for security measures,” according to The Times of Israel. The article continues:
