Sayf-Al-Islam al-Qaddafi, son of Mu’ammar Al-Qaddafi, said in a call to Syrian TV station “Al-Rai” that the resistance continues to ‘full revenge’ for the mass killings of an estimated 90,000 Libyans during 8 months of occupation attempts, invasion and non-stop bombing by the European and North American military forces (NATO) as well as Qatar and some other Arab states.

He confirmed that he is still in Libya, alive and free, in spite of false reports to the contrary, and that the Libyan popular resistance continues against the occupation of the North African country, which was the wealthiest country in Africa as well as its strongest defence.

“We continue our resistance. I am in Libya, I am alive, free and intend to go to the very end and exact revenge,” Sayf-Al-Islam said Saturday night on the Syrian channel, as reported in Russian media but ignored by other world media which are complicit in war crimes.

Egypt’s Nile TV Channel claimed on Thursday, October 20, that Sayf-al-Islam had managed to flee Sirte and find shelter in the desert.

According to RIA Novosti, a Russian news agency, an un-named website of Gaddafi’s supporters had earlier posted a statement that Seif al-Islam had been named an heir to the Libyan dictator and charged with the command of forces fighting the rebels.

First images in video appear to be real images of Mutassim smoking a cigarette while captured, but the subsequent images of him appearing dead are apparently fake according to an unnamed source. NTC information officer Mahmoud Shammam said: “Mutassim is dead.”

Other reports circulating say that Sayf al-Islam al-Qaddafi has already got the support of the tribes loyal to his father Mu’ammar al-Qaddafi, tribes which had promised to fight against the current government and take revenge for the “killing of the colonel and his son Mutassim”. Some experts now suggest the Libyan conflict could now be prolonged and grow from a political into an interethnic struggle.

However, the “NATO rebels” (TNC) claim that Sayf-al-Islam was arrested along with Mu’ammar Qaddafi and Mutassim Qaddafi, while claiming that the latter two were murdered by them after being captured alive.

Thirty-nine-year-old Sayf-al-Islam is the second son of Mu’ammar Qaddafi and carried out public relations and diplomatic roles in recent years. Western-educated and the most-recognized member of the Qaddafi family, he was often viewed as Mu’ammar Qaddafi’s successor and a possible reformer, however he has always denied this.

Sayf-Al-Islam along with other brothers, in particular Khamis Al-Qaddafi and Mutassim Al-Qaddafi have been engaged in the armed popular resistance against the invasion and attempted occupation of Libya as well as Al-Qaida affiliated groups, mercenaries and former corrupt officials and criminal gangs, many of which had been set free during a betrayal by the United States, France, Britain and Italy which had, along with international banker elite financiers, become friends of the Qaddafi family in recent years.

During recent years, the revolutionary movement of the green committees — the Green Charter Movement or the “International Green March” — in particular the Libyan section of the movement, had all but been shut down by Sayf-al-Islam in order to win the favour and support of western countries to have peaceful relations.

Now Sayf-Al-Islam is considered the leader of the Libyan Jamahiriya in lieu of Mu’ammar Qaddafi who has taken leave from his position as leader of the Libyan revolution but is still considered by the Green Charter Movement as the leader of the world revolution which seeks its guidance from The Green Book.

Video shows a man from Sirte, with similar features to Mu’ammar Qaddafi but younger and shorter, being murdered by his rebel NTC captors who have committed horrific crimes for the past 8 months with NATO support.

Mu’ammar Qaddafi’s leadership of the movement is however largely symbolic in that he has already laid down the guiding principles of the movement, which membership derives from self-affirmation of the rights, freedoms and responsibilities of the Green Charter, and to work to attain those rights by way of forming green charter committeesand calling for popular participatory democracy by way of people’s conferences and people’s committees.
