Nazi occupation forces targeted on Friday night the 8-year old Rani Naeem Tamimi with a sound grenade concurrently with the closure of the entrance of the village of Esawyeh and imposing a complete siege for more than three hours.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center-Silwan was informed that the occupation forces targeted the child with a sound grenade and injured him with shrapnel in his upper limbs and face.
Rani’s mother said: “We were on our way home in Esawyeh around 9 p.m. and we were surprised with the closure imposed on the village. We waited near the main entrance in our private vehicle. Rani tried to go stand near his father who was standing outside the vehicle and as soon as he opened the door, a soldier fired a sound grenade directly towards the child and injured him with shrapnel led to several burns.”
She added that they immediately took him to Al-Maqased hospital which revealed second-degree burn in his face, neck and shoulder.
She explained that her son is suffering from severe pains and high fever as well as a state of fear due to being targeted.
