The war in Iraq is far from over, but you wouldn’t know that if you were paying attention the mainstream media
ALI AYUN, IRAQ – JUNE 11: Iraqi soldiers prepare for a village clearance mission with US forces on June 11, 2010 in Ali Ayun, Diyala Province, Iraq. Iraq faces multiple challenges in the lead-up to the draw down of US forces in Iraq, with many observers claiming that while they have the capablities of handling home-grown problems, they are far from being able to tackle external threats. Political wrangling has reportedly fostered greater instability throughout the country with fears of renewed sectarian violence breaking out as insurgents set-up attacks in an attempt to exploit vulnerabilities amongst the populace. SAMARRA, IRAQ (INTELLIHUB) — Many people think that the war in Iraq is over and that the war in Afghanistan is coming to an end, but unfortunately neither is true.
These are lies that have been told by the politicians and repeated by the mainstream media to distract the American people from the military occupation of the Middle East and Africa.
It was reported by Reuters this week that over 6000 people in Iraq have died in violence this year alone, and it is likely that they are printing a low estimate.
While the troops may have officially left Iraq, the US military has doubled up on hiring off the record mercenaries, who are literally working to train various terrorist factions who are fighting for political control in the region.
On Saturday, in the Iraqi city of Samarra a car bomb killed 14 people. These bombings are becoming a regular occurrence throughout the region.
“I stopped my car to buy sweets for my kids from a nearby shop when suddenly a huge blast shook the area,” said 45-year-old teacher Kamal Mahmoud.
“I felt the heat of the blast on my face and the bodies of two women thrown in the middle of the street covered in blood, one of them without legs”.
In addition to the violent fallout caused by the US invasion, the Iraqi people are also dealing with the slow reconstruction process, with many of them still living in rubble.
