Alliance Against Birmingham Academies
Dear all
The Arthur Terry – Stockland Green federation is discussing becoming Academies. There is a governors meeting on Monday evening 4 October at 6pm at Arthur Terry. AABA is leafletting this with a letter to the governors, with the logos of all the unions on. Can you help with giving it out? We need to be at the school by 5.15pm if possible.
We will also be leafletting a parents’ meeting at Arthur Terry on Wednesday 6 October. It starts at 6.15 and we need to be there at 5.45.
Can you help with either of these? Please come along if you can.
AABA is also seeking ways of developing a campaign against the primary and secondary ‘free schools’ in Handsworth, run by the Nishkam Educational Trust (an subsidiary of the Guru Nanak gurdwara on the Soho Rd).
The next AABA planning meeting is on Monday 18 Octrober at 6pm, NASUWT offices, Ludgate Ct, Water St.
