All three speakers were excellent, John Rees gave a broad background to the Arab revolutions ? ‘‘

Adam Hanieh * focused on Palestine and said you cannot relate to the problem
of the dispossession of the Palestine people from a purely human rights perspective. He argued that only by understanding the Zionist state use for American Imperialism could you appreciate the Palestinian problem. He talked about the Palestinian prisioners on hunger strike and the trade union battles against the Palestinian West Bank authorities. Chris Cole gave a comprehensive review of the development of drone warfare and revealed he
had served a 9 month prision sentence for direct action against arms producers.
There were 46 at the meeting ” IT WAS 33 PEOPLE NOT 46 ” many arriving after the start time of 7.05 pm and it was very diverse, a few young people and a large number of people from the Asian community. ” 9 ASIAN ONLY IM NOT ASIAN ” There was about an hour of questions and comments from the floor and many people were able to contribute.
Although the Marxist-Leninists were given amble time to speak at the end of the meeting they continually interrupted speakers.
* BIG LIE:

PAUL COOPER ASKED TO SPEAK HE SAID MAKE IT QUICK WHEN SAMMI IBRAHEM ASKED TO SPEAK HE SAID MAKE IT TO THE POINT YET PRO-WAR STUART RICHARDSON SPOKE WITHOUT EVEN ASKING THE CHAIR TO SPEAK IT APPEARED TO ME THAT THE MEETING WAS RUN BY PRO-NATO WAR GANG”
Their line of ‘Victory to Assad’ meant that when the platform speakers mentioned
repression of the Palestinians by Assad and the exiling of Palestinians by Gaddafi they were furious. The responses to them by both John and Adam were excellent.
* VICTORY TO ASSAD:

The meeting cooled down at the end, John Kelsey made a good speech empathising the need to jointly act against imperialist intervention despite differences on the Assad regime.John Rees concluded the meeting on a similar theme.

* Sadly your speaker Adam Hanieh was arrogant enough that when he did not like a question he would answer “go read books”. Mr Ibrahem stood up and told him this is disgraceful behavior while your dead parrot chair was asleep
