- · Israeli forces have escalated the use of excessive force against peaceful protests in the oPt.
– 7 Palestinian civilians, including a child, were killed in the West Bank.
– One of them was killed by Israeli undercover agents “Mosta’rebeen” at al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron.
– 93 Palestinian civilians, including a child, a woman and 5 journalists, were wounded in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
- · Israeli forces put into force the house demolition policy on grounds of collective punishment.
– 5 houses were bombed and other neighbouring houses sustained large damage.
- · Israeli forces conducted 77 incursions into Palestinian communities in the West Bank.
– 111 Palestinian civilians, including 38 children, were arrested.
– 36 of them, including 22 children, were arrested in occupied Jerusalem.
- · Israeli warplanes raided a training site, in the centre of the Gaza Strip, but no casualties were reported.
- · Israeli gunboats continued to target Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Strip sea.
– 2 fishermen sustained minor wounds.
- · Settlement activities have continued in the West Bank.
– 2 cattle farms and a water well, east of Hebron, were demolished.
– 5 residential tents sheltering 27 individuals, including 14 children, and 2 livestock barns in Sa’ir village, were demolished.
- · Israeli forces have turned the West Bank into cantons and continued to impose the illegal closure on the Gaza Strip for the 9th year.
– Many temporary checkpoints were established in the West Bank and many others were re-established in a way obstructing the traffic.
– 7 Palestinian civilians, including a child, were arrested at checkpoints in the West Bank.
– A Palestinian patient was arrested at Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing, north of the Gaza Strip.
Summary
Israeli violations of international law and international humanitarian law in the oPt continued during the reporting period (12 – 18 November 2015).
Shooting:
Israeli forces have continued to commit crimes, inflicting civilian casualties. They have also continued to use excessive force against Palestinian civilians participating in peaceful protests in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, the majority of whom were youngsters. Occupied East Jerusalem witnessed similar attacks. During the reporting period, Israeli forces killed 7 Palestinian civilians, including a child, in the West Bank. Moreover, 93 Palestinian civilians, including 24 children, a woman and 5 journalists, were wounded. Eighteen of whom, including 3 children, were wounded in the Gaza Strip and the others were wounded in the West Bank. Concerning the nature of injuries, 58 civilians were hit with live bullets, 29 ones were hit with rubber bullets and 6 others were hit with tear gas canisters.
