The Senate isn’t doing anything about tax giveaways to oil companies.
But we are.

Ending tax giveaways to oil companies won’t happen without you.

I can’t believe it. Did you hear? Yesterday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) decided to pull the plug on passing any energy legislation before Congress went on vacation.1

What the hell does it take?!?

We’ve had a five-month oil spill that has dumped over 200 million gallons of crude into the Gulf of Mexico and tar balls washing up on beaches in Florida, and still BP plans to claim billions in tax breaks. Meanwhile, Congress can’t seem to hike its pants up, tie its shoes and find a real solution. Harry Reid and the Senate gave up.

But we haven’t.

Wednesday, we announced a new campaign to end tax giveaways to oil companies. We’re ready to take the fight all the way to the doors of Congress if need be. Donations are rolling in and we’re on our way to meeting our goal.

Can you help keep up the momentum? Chip in $30 to help us meet our goal!

Your donations will enable us to:

  • Hire a new organizer to target various districts of members of Congress

  • Show how much money YOUR member of Congress took from BP and other dirty energy companies this election year

  • Take the campaign all the way from your town to the steps of the White House and Capitol Hill

We can’t afford to give up. The stakes are too high. We need an energy policy that isn’t built on billions of dollars in tax giveaways to the richest companies in the world. We believe this campaign can make an impact on where we’re headed on clean energy. But only with your help.

Help us keep the momentum going!

Thank you for all you do,

Japhet Els
