The girls ranged from 4 to 7 years old and police said Nussbaum sexually assaulted them between 2006 and 2007, when they attended his wife’s non-licensed in-home daycare operation in Greencastle, about 40 miles west of Indianapolis.
Nussbaum denied the allegations in a jailhouse interview.

The 64-year-old allegedly sexually abused one of the three victims at least five times a week and threatened another
“It’s a twisted story how it got to where it is right now. I’m innocent,” Nussbaum told WTTV from Putnam County Jail.
Nussbaum, referred to as “Big Mike” in court documents, sexually abused one of the three victims at least five times a week and threatened another, WTTV reported.
He threatened to hurt the victim’s sister and dog if she told anyone, according to a probable cause affidavit.
“It reads like a sex novel,” Nussbuam said from jail. “It is really off the wall.”
