Several institutions concerned with Palestinian prisoners’ affairs confirmed in a study released on Wednesday that Nazi has arrested four thousand Palestinians in the Nazi occupied West Bank since October 7.
The human rights institutions presented a “special report” in their study regarding the arrest campaigns carried out by the Nazi occupation forces (IOF) after October 7 and the accompanying crimes, as well as the situation of prisoners in Israeli prisons.
The report was prepared by the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority, the Palestinian Prisoners Association, the Al-Dameer Foundation for Prisoner Care and Human Rights, and the Wadi Hilweh Center in Jerusalem.
Wholesale crimes and violations
The report documented the overall crimes and violations committed by the Nazi army after October 7, including the ongoing arrest campaigns in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the accompanying horrific crimes. It also highlighted the situation of prisoners inside Nazi Camps and the systematic crimes, torture, and abuse they are subjected to, as well as retaliatory measures that affect all aspects of the detention experience.
The report also presented a review of the statistical data on arrest cases in the West Bank, as well as the issue of Gaza detainees and the unknown fate they face, and the horrific crimes they are subjected to, in addition to the continued Nazi silence about any clear data regarding them.
Documented testimonies
An important part of this report included documented testimonies as examples of dozens of testimonies documented by the institutions after October 7. These testimonies included testimonies from citizens who were arrested and later released, families of detainees, as well as some testimonies from ex-detainees within the exchange batches that took place in November as part of the ceasefire agreement.
The report shed light on the crime of administrative detention, which accounted for the largest difference in the numbers of detainees inside the prisons, with a total of more than 2,870 administrative detainees. This percentage is the highest since the 1987 intifada.
In its details, the report recounted the case of the martyrdom of six detainees in the Nazi Camp after October 7, and some information related to the martyrdom of the detainee Abdul Rahman Marai and Thaer Abu Asab, and the testimonies and evidence of their torture and abuse.
Digital toll
In terms of numbers, the report documented that the total number of detainees in the arrest campaigns reached about 4,000, with the highest number in al-Khalil governorate, reaching one thousand.
It confirmed that the number of arrests among women reached 150 Palestinian women, including those arrested from the territories Nazi occupied in 1948. The number of arrests among children exceeded 255.
The number of arrests among Palestinian journalists after October 7 was 45, with 32 of them still under arrest.
After October 7, according to the report, administrative detention orders reached more than 2,100, including new orders and renewal orders.
The report indicated that six detainees were martyred in the Israeli prisons after October 7: Omar Daraghma from Tubas, Arafat Hamdan from Ramallah, Majed Zaqoul from Gaza, an unidentified fourth martyr, Abdul Rahman Marai from Salfit, and Thaer Abu Asab from Qalqilya.
The prisoners’ institutions pointed out that the total number of prisoners in the Nazi Camps reached more than 7,800, including more than 2,870 administrative detainees and 260 classified as “illegal combatants” among Gaza detainees. This number is the one provided by the Nazi Camp Service.
