Americans deserve to know who the real vandal of Jesus’ statue

A Palestinian man confronted an Israeli settler who raided the Church of the Flagellation in occupied Jerusalem and destroyed a statue of Jesus. The settler is in police custody, and he is being assessed mentally.
The vandal was recorded on video saying “You can’t have idols in Jerusalem. This is the Holy City.” He was heard asking to “put my kipper on” in reference to the traditional head cover worn by Jewish men.
US embassy in Israel refused to comment, however, the Vatican blasted the attack as a “hate crime.” The British Guardian reported that this was the fifth incident of Christians being harmed or their holy places being damaged in the occupied Palestinian territory in recent weeks.
I find it bizarre that all MSM reported the vandal to be an American tourist. It took me some time to verify the true identity of the perpetrator. No, he was not an American tourist but rather an Israeli settler.
As of this writing and over 24 hours later, the White House and US Jewish leaders are still shamelessly dead silent. Yet, last Sunday’s retaliatory operation in Jerusalem was swiftly and widely condemned by them.
The MSM should stop lying about the man who damaged the statue of Jesus Christ, peace be upon him (PBUH) in order to protect Israel’s image. The man was not an American tourist. Period.
Americans deserve to know who the real vandal of Jesus’ statue.
