NOVANEWS
On September 12, 2013, while walking to give his first lecture at City University New York, CUNY, General (RET) David Petraeus did not expect to be ambushed and harassed, heckled and insulted by a mob of students organized by a teacher named Sandor John. John, according to the Internet, is a professor at Hunter College, which is part of CUNY and teaches Latin American History.
He gave an interview that evening on INSIDE EDITION where he called the students “courageous” for confronting David Petraeus while walking to work on the sidewalks of New York City. Courageous, I do not think so, Mr. John, as your group acted like a bunch of cowards ganging up on one man, ambushed him and looked liked a mob which was displaying nothing but hooliganism. A liberal college professor organizing an ambush protest, against a man that has dedicated his life to his country around the world and served in two wars is not courageous.
That is so typical of those college professors that are so left wing that they can not even “turn” to the right, which certainly does not represent the majority of college professors teaching today. Individuals like Sandor John seem to have a vendetta against the military and and men like General Petraeus and like to misconstrue the meaning of words and revise history! Calling this man a war criminal, a man that went to Afghanistan to defeat the individuals that helped to launch the deadly plot on September 11, 2001 to strike at the World Trade Center in New York City, how ludicrous, obnoxious, disrespectful, vile and uneducated.

FIFTEEN MINUTES OF SHAME
Other than the television entertainment program INSIDE EDTION, I do not believe any of the major nightly news networks carried this egregious display of conduct against General David Petraeus by John and his band of uniformed students. Since that was the only display of unruly behavior to make the news, I am wondering if the upper echelon of college officials at City University New York, CUNY, told him how embarrassing he made the school look and to curtail his outlandish and loathsome conduct immediately.
Since Sandor John’s initial ambush assault with his flash mob of illogical students, the public has not been informed of more verbal assaults on one of America’s finest and most decorated general military officers, General David Petraeus. Even when the General, as CIA Director showed his human frailties and had a lapse in judgment and resigned as the head of America’s intelligence agency, he took full responsibility for his actions, blamed no one but himself and tendered his resignation immediately to President Obama so as not to distract from the security issues of the country.
Unlike so many other politicians and bureaucrats today that get caught making mistakes and fail to take responsibility and accountability, the General set the liability for his shortcomings right where it belonged with no excuses, on himself and apologized to the American people. Director Petraeus placed the blame on his shoulders and his shoulders alone. I’ve been in combat in Vietnam, and from what I have read and heard from others about this man during his military days, I would follow him into battle anytime, anywhere! Not only General Petraeus, but his wife, son and daughter have also given back to this country, too.
Only in America, can a college professor and a swarm of students that probably have done nothing for the freedoms they so enjoy each day, would they ambush a man like General David Petraeus and verbally insult and assault him, a man whose service has guaranteed them those freedoms! Let them try the same thing in Afghanistan against the Taliban and Al-Queda and heads would roll! No pun intended.
