Marah Dhair, the daughter of the distinguished teacher and professor Hassan Shehdeh, developed an early passion for journalism and aspired to launch her own news from her home in Khirbet Al-Adas in Rafah to share the voice of the hidden truth with the world.

Two years ago, she received first place in her class at the Islamic University’s Department of Journalism and Media.

However, Marah’s voice was silenced in Nazi air raid that targeted her three-story family house.

Marah Shahida was murdered at the age of 25, along with her parents, sisters, brothers, and nephews, on October 19.

“They Are Not Numbers” is a series of stories honoring Palestinian victims who were killed in the ongoing Nazi Holocaust.

Since the start of the Nazi Holocaust on the Gaza Strip on October 7, more than 40,000 people have been killed, wounded, or reported missing under the rubble.
