Kabul, Afghanistan (Veterans Today) — An explosion at a mosque in northern Afghanistan’s Kunduz province on Friday killed at least four people and wounded 16 others, according to a provincial council chief.

The four killed in the blast at the Rostaq Abad mosque were all body guards for the Kunduz city police chief, said Mawlawi Abdullah, who witnessed the incident. He said he was walking toward the mosque at the time and said a number of high-ranking authorities where inside at the time of the explosion.

“Still, we are not sure if it was a suicide attack or planted explosion,” Abdullah said.
