Zio-Nazi Netanyahu–Unification of Jerusalem is a “foundation of nation of Israel’

NOVANEWS

Zio-Nazi Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tells his cabinet that the government is obligated to build in Jerusalem, as it is ‘the heart of the nation.’

Haaretz

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his government’s support for a united Jerusalem on Sunday, calling the unification of Jerusalem one of the “foundations of the nation of Israel.”

Speaking at a special government meeting held at the David Citadel in Jerusalem, the prime minister said Israel had won congressional support during his most recent trip to Washington, where he presented the issue of Jerusalem’s unification.

“The wide support for these principles is an inalienable asset for the state of Israel,” Netanyahu said. “The world knows that the nation of Israel and our friends are loyal to Jerusalem and its legacy.”

“The government is obligated to building Jerusalem, as [Jerusalem] is the heart of the nation,” Netanyahu said.

The prime minster spoke to the U.S. Congress last week, where he said that Israel is willing to make painful concessions for peace, but Jerusalem will not be divided.

“Jerusalem must never again be divided,” Netanyahu said to round of applause by the congressmen. “Jerusalem must remain the united capital of Israel.”

The day after the prime minister’s speech in Washington, the speaker of the Knesset and several other government ministers attended a dedication ceremony for the new Jewish settlement of Ma’aleh Zeitim, in East Jerusalem’s Ras al-Amud neighborhood.

At the ceremony, Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin condemned those that seek to “cut up” Jerusalem, as bringing “disaster” onto the city and its residents.

The comments come shortly after a weekend in which U.S. President Barack Obama called for negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians based on borders from 1967, which Netanyahu rejects as “indefensible”.

13 ships owned by Zio-Nazi regime Ofer Brothers have docked in Iran over past decade

Equasis, a major shipping information database, reveals the ships docked in the Iranian port city Bandar Abbas and Kharg Island; Iran and Ofer Brothers Group deny the allegations.

Haaretz

At least 13 Tanker Pacific ships, owned by the Israeli Ofer Brothers Group, have docked in Iran over the past decade, according to information released by Equasis, a major shipping information database.

On Tuesday the U.S. State Department shocked the Israeli business community with its announcement that the Ofer Brothers shipping company had violated economic sanctions against Iran. At the heart of the matter was an oil tanker named Raffles Park, which had been owned by the Ofer Brothers Group and eventually found its way into the hands of the Iranian national shipping company – the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines.

The ships docked in the Iranian port city Bandar Abbas and Kharg Island. Bandar Abbas is a city located on Iran’s southern coast. Kharg Island is used as a port for exporting oil from Iran.

Iran, who refuses to recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, has denied all ties to the Ofer family. “Any commercial connection to the Zionist regime and the companies that operate within it are against the law,” an Iranian official said.

The Ofer Brothers Group denies the allegations against them.

A state department spokesman, Mark Toner, replied to the Ofers’ claims at a press conference on Wednesday.

“We did considerable due diligence in checking out these claims. And what we found is that Ofer Holdings Group is the parent of a company called Tanker Pacific, and that’s the company that actually sold this tanker to the Iranians,” Toner said.

Toner said Tanker Pacific and its subsidiary had “failed to do proper due diligence and to prevent this transaction. So they’re responsible – I guess my point is that they’d be responsible for the conduct of their subsidiary.”

The alleged business with Iran was done by the Singapore-based Tanker Pacific, one of the world’s largest shipping companies and an Ofer Brothers subsidiary. It operates a fleet of 45 huge tankers that transport crude oil worldwide, with branches in India, Britain and China.

Ab-A$$: No hope for peace talks, only option is UN recognition of statehood

NOVANEWS

At Arab League meeting in Doha, Palestinian President Mahmoud Ab-A$$s says that there are ‘no shared foundations’ for negotiations with Zionist government.

Reuters

The Palestinian president said on Saturday there were “no shared foundations” for peace talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and seeking UN recognition of Palestinian statehood was his only option.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, addressing an Arab League meeting in Doha, expressed concern that taking the diplomatic step opposed by the United States and Israel could result in financial sanctions and urged Arab states to fill any gap.

While he left room for a compromise, saying a resumption of peace talks on terms acceptable to the Palestinians would avoid the UN move, the remarks were some of Abbas’s bleakest yet on the likelihood of more negotiations.

Abbas was speaking at a meeting of the Arab League’s peace process committee convened in the wake of major Middle East policy speeches in Washington by U.S. President Barack Obama and Netanyahu.

The Palestinian leadership has said Netanyahu’s ideas for peace with the Palestinians, outlined in a speech to the U.S. Congress on Tuesday, put more obstacles in the path of an already moribund peace process.

“We see from the conditions that Netanyahu laid out that there are no shared foundations … for negotiations. Our fundamental option is to go to the United Nations,” Abbas said in his opening remarks.

“This is no secret, we have said it to the Americans and the Europeans and the Israelis, our only option is to go to the United Nations,” he said.

He expressed fear that the step would lead some states to “try to impose a siege upon us”, though he did not say to which governments he was referring. “We hope that there will be a safety net from the Arab states,” he said.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) headed by Abbas is dependent on financial support from international donors including the United States and the European Union.

It also relies on customs duties collected on its behalf by Israel, which triggered a financial crisis for the PA earlier this month when Israel temporarily withheld the funds following a reconciliation deal between the rival Fatah and Hamas groups.

“The sound path”

With the peace process at a standstill, the Palestinians have said they hope to advance their national cause by seeking full membership of the United Nations in September.

U.S. opposition means they have very little chance of success, but Israel fears the maneuvering will leave them looking vulnerable on the diplomatic front.

U.S.-brokered talks between the Palestinians and Israel broke down last September in a dispute over continued settlement building in the West Bank, part of the territories where Abbas aims to found the Palestinian state.

“In these circumstances, it seems better to me that we freeze discussion of the peace process until there is a partner ready for peace,” said Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr al-Thani, who was chairing the meeting.

Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa, a leading candidate for the Egyptian presidency, told Reuters that Netanyahu had presented nothing but a series of “no’s” in his speech to the U.S. Congress.

“The sound path is going to the United Nations and political struggle,” Moussa said. “I believe that negotiations have become futile in light of all of these nos. What will you negotiate on?”

The Palestinians currently have the status of UN observers without voting rights, but are hoping that at September’s General Assembly they can persuade other nations to accept them as a sovereign member.

In a bid to break the deadlock, Obama said in a major policy speech last week that a future Palestinian state should be based on the borders as they existed on the eve of the Six Day War in 1967, with land swaps mutually agreed with Israel.

Surprise, Surprise–Netanyahu asked Canada PM to thwart G8 support for 1967 borders

G8 statement would have supported Obama’s policy that Israeli-Palestinian talks should be based on 1967 lines with land swaps.

Haaretz

At the request of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper thwarted an announcement Friday by the G-8 countries that would have supported U.S. President Barack Obama’s statement that talks between the Palestinians and Israel should be based on the 1967 borders with exchanges of territory. The G-8 countries – the United States, Russia, France, Britain, Germany, Italy, Japan and Canada – met in France on Thursday and Friday to discuss the situation in the Middle East.Obama presented his Middle East policy to the G-8 as an alternative to a unilateral Palestinian move to seek support for statehood in the United Nations General Assembly in September, and to clarify to the Palestinians that the international community takes a dim view of the Palestinians’ move to win statehood in the United Nations.

According to a senior government official in Jerusalem, Israel was concerned over the implications of a specific mention of support for Obama’s call for negotiations based on the 1967 borders and exchanges of territory, so the prime minister’s bureau and the Foreign Ministry began working on the matter as early as the middle of last week. The Foreign Ministry instructed its envoys in the various capitals to ask that the G-8′s concluding statement emphasize three things: that a Palestinian state will arise only through direct negotiations, not through a unilateral move in the United Nations; opposition to Hamas-Fatah reconciliation as long as Hamas rejects the Quartet’s conditions; and opposition to a mention of the issue of 1967 borders and exchanges of territory. However, there was concern over whether inclusion of the latter issue could be prevented, the official said, because at least seven out of the eight G-8 countries supported including it.

Tuesday, after Netanyahu’s speech to Congress, he telephoned Harper, who heads a rightist government under whose leadership Canada has become one of Israel’s greatest allies. The senior government official said Netanyahu told Harper that mentioning the issue of the 1967 borders in the statement, without mentioning the other issues, such as Israel as a Jewish state or opposition to the return of Palestinian refugees to Israel, will be detrimental to Israeli interests and a reward to the Palestinians.“The prime minister is in constant contact with various leaders in moving ahead the diplomatic process,” Netanyahu’s bureau said.Since a decision on the statement requires consensus, Canada’s efforts led to a release of the statement without reference to the 1967 borders.

The statement released expressed general support for the Obama speech, but called for the establishment of a Palestinian state through negotiations, not unilaterally, and for Hamas to accept the Quartet’s conditions.Harper said Friday that he thought the statement issued was “balanced.” He also said it was important not to “cherry-pick” Obama’s statement. “I think if you’re going to get into other elements, obviously I would like to see reference to elements that were also in President Obama’s speech. Such as, for instance, the fact that one of the states must be a Jewish state. The fact that the Palestinian state must be de-militarized.”Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman spoke over the weekend with Canada’s foreign minister, John Baird, and thanked him for Canada’s position during the G-8 deliberations. “Canada is a true friend of Israel and with a realistic and proper view of things, it understands that the 1967 borders do not conform to Israel’s security needs and with the current demographic reality,” Lieberman said.

Iran names blacklisted US officials

NOVANEWS

The Iranian Parliament has released a full list of 26 US officials wanted by Tehran for various crimes ranging from rights violations to acts of terror to involvement in drug-trafficking.

Spokesmen for the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Kazem Jalali said on Sunday that the motion to impose sanctions on and prosecute certain American officials was unanimously adopted.

The officials on the list include commander of US forces in Iraq Raymond Odierno, USS Vincennes Captain Will Rogers III, former FBI chief Thomas J. Pickard, and the former commander of the US detention facility at Guantanamo Bay Geoffrey D. Miller, Jalali said.

Current Guantanamo commander Rear Admiral Jeffery Harbeson and former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld have also been sanctioned by Tehran, the Iranian lawmaker added.

Pickard is wanted for rights violations over his involvement in the siege of the Branch Davidian complex in Waco, Texas in 1993, and the death of over 80 of the cult’s followers. He is also wanted for human rights violations during his tenure as the CIA station chief in Afghanistan and Iraq in 2003.

Miller, who commanded the US prison at Guantanamo Bay between 2002 and 2007, is charged with torture of inmates, while Harbeson is charged in connection with human rights violations at the detention center since 2010.

Rogers will have sanctions imposed on him over the killing of 290 Iranian civilians onboard Iran Air Flight 655, which was shot down by the USS Vincennes on July 3, 1988.

Rumsfeld, who was the US secretary of defense from 1975 to 1977 and from 2001 to 2006, is also on the list for the killing of thousands of civilians in the US-led wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. He is also charged in connection with human rights violations and torture at two notorious prisons, Abu Ghraib in Iraq and Bagram in Afghanistan.

Paul Bremer, the US administrator in Iraq from May 2003 to June 2004, and General Tommy Franks, who led the US invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, are also on the list of US officials that the Iranian parliament plans to impose sanctions on.

Earlier this month, Amnesty International censured the US for its indefinite detentions of suspects in Afghanistan and at the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba.

In October 2010, the United Nations Human Rights Council issued a report in which it expressed serious concern about human rights violations in the United States.

IsraHell will not repeat flotilla attack

NOVANEWS

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu says Israel has learned many lessons from last year’s attack on the Gaza-bound aid convoy and will not repeat the same mistake when a new flotilla sets sail for the Palestinian coastal sliver.

In the remarks broadcast on the private Ulke TV on Thursday night, Ahmet Davutoglu — the Turkish foreign minister — said that the Ankara government hopes that the attack by Israeli commandos on the Turkish Mavi Marmara aid ship would not repeat, Anatolia news agency reported on Sunday.

The Israeli military attacked the Freedom Flotilla in international waters of the Mediterranean Sea on May 31, 2010, killing nine Turkish nationals aboard the Turkish-flagged MV Mavi Marmara and injuring about 50 others who were part of the team on the six-ship convoy.

Israel also arrested and later released nearly 700 activists from 42 countries that were onboard the ships of the Freedom Flotilla, which was attempting to break the siege of Gaza to deliver 10,000 tons of humanitarian relief aid to the long-suffering people of the territory.

“There are differences between last year’s situation and this year’s situation. Hamas and Fatah have reached a compromise and the Palestinian factions have united. Moreover, the international community has maintained a tough stance against Israel following the attack on the Mavi Marmara,” Davutoglu stressed.

The Turkish foreign minister also noted that “Israel has no option but to recognize the Palestinian state and lift the blockade on the Gaza Strip if it does not want to see new convoys.”

Israel — with the help of former Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak — laid an economic siege on Gaza in June 2007, after Hamas took control of the strip. The blockade has had a disastrous impact on the humanitarian and economic situation in the Gaza Strip.

Some 1.5 million people are being denied their basic rights, including the freedom of movement, and the rights to appropriate living conditions, work, health and education. Poverty and unemployment rates stand at approximately 80 percent and 60 percent, respectively, in the Gaza Strip.

Egypt, however, opened the Rafah border crossing — Gaza’s only border that bypasses Israel– on Saturday. Cairo says the Rafah crossing will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time every day except Fridays and holidays.

‘Lebanon Salafis behind Syria unrest’

NOVANEWS

Informed sources in Lebanon blame Salafi extremists and elements associated with the country’s al-Mustaqbal party for direct involvement in the recent unrest in Syria.

The Lebanese sources say former Mustaqbal MP Mustafa Hashem has rented a large number of gas stations in the northern border region of Wadi Khaled, where the nomad residents on both the Lebanese and Syrian sides of the frontier are engaged in widespread smuggling.

This would bring Hashem cheap oil that smugglers steal from the pipelines stretching from the Homs refinery to the one in Baniyas and later put him in close contact with traffickers.

An attempt by Syria to stem the flow of smuggled oil drove the perpetrators into the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli. Some of the perpetrators were later hired as bodyguards for radical Salafi leaders, who are mostly from the Syrian city of Talkalakh.

The Lebanese army also launched a similar campaigned against the traffickers and arrested a head of a village in Wali Khaled, who was soon released thanks to the political unrest in Lebanon.

The elements in question stepped up their activity under a religious disguise.

According to the sources, the Salafis in northern Lebanon are led by Mustaqbal lawmaker Khaled al-Daher and his brother Rabi, who are considered as the link between the US-backed Mustaqbal party and the Salafis scattered in the region spanning Tripoli and Sunni majority regions in Syria.

The Lebanese Salafi movement is also accused of direct involvement in an attack on Syrian border security station in al-Hajana and the kidnapping of three people from the post.

Moreover, the extremists have repeatedly attempted to spark border tensions between Lebanese and Syria by opening fire on the Syrian army personnel stationed near the border, and thus drawing backfire to forge a border clash.

The Lebanese sources blame a retired general in charge of Mustaqbal’s maintenance and leaders of al-Qaeda-linked Fatah al-Islam militia for distributing arms and cell phone lines among rioters in northern Syria.

Major Salafi clerics in north Lebanon have, meanwhile, engaged in providing refuge to terrorists operating in Syria, and issuing provocative decrees. Salafi mosques in the region are reportedly being used as weapons storage.

The Lebanese army has significantly stemmed the outflow of arms to Syria by identifying and arresting some of the main trafficker elements, but blood links and political affiliations across the border has left them short of putting a halt to the transactions.

Report: Zionist Mu-Barak loses US, IsraHell support

NOVANEWS

A new report has revealed that the US, IsraHell and European officials rejected former Egyptian dictator Zionist Hosni Mu-Barak’s call for help, when revolution erupted in the North African country in February.

According to Rose al-Yousef, an Egyptian weekly magazine, Zionist Mu-Barak made phone calls to US President Barack Obama, Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, head of Nazi Gestap ‘Mossad’ Tamir Pardo and several European officials in late February, but none of them offered him any support.

When Zionist Mu-Barak, who ruled Egypt for 30 years under direct support of the US and IsraHell, contacted to talk to Obama his call was disconnected, the report said.

The Egyptian Zionist dictator also called Zionist Netanyahu by a satellite mobile phone — with a Saudi-based service provider — to ask for his assistance, but the Zionist premier said there was nothing he could do about it.

The head of Nazi Gestapo ‘Mossad’ also rejected Zionist Mu-Barak’s request, citing fears that any interference by the Zionist regime will aggravate anti-Mu-Barak sentiments.

According to the report, Zionist Mu-Barak contacted Zionist officials every one hour on a certain day, but all his calls were dropped the day after.

Other European leaders, whom Zionist Mu-Barak approached, reportedly gave similar responses, arguing that according to international protocols he was not the president of Egypt anymore.

Hundreds of people were killed during the February uprisings in Egypt which led to the eventual fall of Zionist Mu-Barak.

The 82-year-old Zionist Mu-Barak is currently in police custody in an Egyptian hospital. He is reportedly suffering from repeated heart attacks which occurred during interrogation.

Zionist Mu-Barak’s sons were also taken into custody over accusations of corruption and abuse of authority.

Egypt’s justice minister says Zionist Mu-Barak can be sentenced to death if convicted.

Sarah Palin Runs Over Rolling Thunder

NOVANEWS

WASHINGTON — One day after Sarah Palin announced her bus tour, a group sponsoring a Memorial Day weekend event she plans to attend said they never invited her.

“She wasn’t invited. We heard yesterday she came out with a press release she was coming to Rolling Thunder,” Ted Shpak, national legislative director of Rolling Thunder, told “Andrea Mitchell Reports.” Shpak is one of three members of Rolling Thunder’s current leadership who says he had no idea Palin was coming until it was posted on her website.

On Thursday, the former governor of Alaska and potential GOP presidential candidate announced her bus tour on her political action committee’s website, Sarahpac.com.  The tour is to begin in Washington, D.C., where Palin plans to participate in the Sunday motorcycle rally sponsored by Rolling Thunder Inc., a group that raises awareness of prisoners of war and those missing in action.

“She’s not invited to speak. We’re not endorsing her … (but) we can’t stop her from coming to ride, if she wants to ride,” Shpak continued.

Organizers of Rolling Thunder say their guest speakers are Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Palin’s representatives say they were invited to Rolling Thunder – by a former board member who is emceeing the event.

Mike DePaulo tells NBC News he had a standing offer for her to ride with them from the Pentagon across the bridge to D.C. – and that he got a call from what he called “the Palin campaign” on Wednesday to see if they could take him up on it.  He coordinated it with a friend of his, Joe Fields, of the Alaska Veterans’ Advisory Council, who had worked with Palin when she was governor.

A spokeswoman for Rolling Thunder says they frequently invite celebrity guests to ride with them.

DePaulo says he has a permit for the Palin bus to be parked on Henry Bacon Drive near the Lincoln Memorial.  He acknowledges he didnt tell current leaders of the organization that she was coming, since they were already on the road.

When asked if Palin’s bus will be participating in the event, Shpak of Rolling Thunder Inc. responded, “Absolutely not.”

Shpak says Palin’s attendance “is a big distraction” and that his “phone has been ringing off the hook” ever since she announced her intention to attend the event.

“We’re not political. This is not a political event … Maybe she’s coming because she knows we have a half a million people in town and thinking she can start her [campaign]?” stated Shpak.

“We’re taking care of our issues and that’s why we’re here.”

SarahNet.net, a site dedicated to Sarah Palin reports the opposite and claims”Rolling Thunder Riders Praise Sarah Palin’s Participation in Rally“ and calls Shpak a liar.

And so it goes with Sarah Palin, a polarizing force.

Rae Abileah Disrupting Netanyahu’s Congress Speech

NOVANEWS

“Netanyahu proved that he’s the Primary Obstacle to Peace and Justice for Israelis and Palestinians”

Rae Abileah, a Jewish-American activist disrupted Netanyahu’s speech at the Congress. Standing in the congressional gallery, she was yelling, “No more occupation! Stop Israel war crimes! Equal rights for Palestinians! Occupation is indefensible!”

As she was screaming, members in the audience tackled her to the ground. Undercover  security forces dragged her outside. She was taken to George Washington University Hospital, where she was treated for neck and shoulder injuries. At the hospital, police arrested Abileah and charged her with disorderly conduct for disrupting Congress.

Rae Abileah explains her Protest to Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! from Washington, D.C.

Thanks, Amy, for having me on. Yesterday I stood up and unfurled a banner and spoke the truth about what’s going on in Israel. The war crimes and occupation, oppression and inequality that Palestinians are suffering from must end. And it was absolutely despicable to see our Congress pandering to Netanyahu as if he was the president of the United States. And I think after seeing the speech, every American should be outraged, and the progressive community needs to rise up and take courage and take action for justice, democracy, freedom and equality, in the Middle East as well as here at home.

I think that the act I took of courageously standing up in front of Congress doesn’t come along—the opportunity to do that doesn’t come along very often. But every day, as Americans, we have an opportunity to stand up.

And whether it’s putting our money where our hearts are, by participating in economic pressure against Israel through the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, or calling our Congress people or taking other actions, it’s time for us to say no to this terrible policy that, just as Dr. Barghouti has illustrated, will not bring about peace. Netanyahu proved yesterday that he is the primary obstacle to peace and justice for Israelis and Palestinians. And to see our Congress giving away three billion of our tax dollars every year to Israeli war crimes, while our economy suffers, while our kids can’t go to college, while our needs aren’t being met here at home, is absolutely an outrage.

As I stood up and spoke out, members of the audience tackled me, covered my mouth and violently threw me to the ground. Several of them were wearing badges from the powerful pro-Israeli government lobby group AIPAC.  Amidst the assault, the police came and dragged me out of the gallery.  They took me to an ambulance for urgent care, and later placed me under arrest at the hospital

AMY GOODMAN: What were you just saying? You were tackled by members of AIPAC?

RAE ABILEAH: I just wanted to say that the people that were sitting around me in the gallery of Congress yesterday were mostly wearing badges from the AIPAC Israel lobby conference. And I did not expect that people holding such power and representing such a huge lobby group would respond so violently to my peaceful disruption. And after I spoke out, Netanyahu said, you know, “This is what’s possible in a democracy. And you wouldn’t be able to get away with this in other countries like Tunisia.” And I think that is ridiculous and absurd. If this is what democracy looks like, that when you speak out for freedom and justice, you get tackled to the ground, you get physically violated and assaulted, and then you get hauled off to jail, that’s not the kind of democracy that I think I want to live in.

We have a very skewed policy that ignores the rights of the Palestinians, sanctions the Israeli violations of international law, sullies the U.S. reputation internationally and gives $3 billion a year of our tax dollars to the Israel military when we need this money here at home. Before we go preaching democracy abroad, we should make our own democracy more responsive to the public good, not the wishes of wealthy lobbyists.

I have been charged with disorderly conduct and have a court date next month. I also plan to press charges against the person who assaulted me. Unfortunately, we have discovered that in our democratic system, the police are quick to go after those who disrupt the powerful, but rarely go after the powerful who attack the “little guy.”

RAE ABILEAH

AMY : Many people will feel you are a crazy person to disrupt a world leader as he speaks before the U.S. Congress. Might there be other ways to make your point?

Yes, I try to make my point many ways—lobbying, writing articles, speaking to community groups. But I am reminded of the song by Malvina Reynolds that says, “It isn’t nice to block the doorways, it isn’t nice to go to jail, there are nicer ways to do it, but the nice ways always fail.”

I am as committed as ever to continuing to exert pressure on our US government using all the traditional channels, but I also recognize that it has been direct action and nonviolent resistance that has ultimately worked to create powerful change like the 8-hour work day, women’s right to vote, liberation in India, and the overturning of apartheid in South Africa.

One of the most important ways that we can bring about a change in policy in Israel is to exert economic pressure by participating in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement.

I’ve been to Israel, the West Bank and Gaza several times. And after witnessing the destruction, the Jewish-only roads, the wall, the bombing of Gaza and the inequality there, I feel like, when I returned to the U.S., I had no option but to speak out for justice. And I feel this tremendous responsibility as a Jewish American to speak out for justice and against these war crimes that are being committed in my name as a Jew, and as a U.S. taxpayer.

More Myth than Massacre at Srebrenica

NOVANEWS

by Stephen Lendman

Headlines explaining former Serbian General Ratko Mladic’s May 27 arrest allege his 1995 responsibility for massacring 8,000 Muslim men and boys at Srebrenica. True or false is at issue. More on that below.

Meanwhile, inflammatory accounts already convicted him by accusation, including New York Times writers Dan Bilefsky and Doreen Carvajal headlining, “Serbia Says Jailed Mladic Will Face War Crimes Trial,” saying:

Arresting him “signal(ed) Serbia’s intention of finally escaping the isolation it brought on itself during the Balkan wars,” ones Western media, including The Times, consistently misreported on throughout the 1990s, culminating in NATO’s 1999 war of aggression, falsely called humanitarian intervention.

Inflating Srebrenica deaths to “10,000….including 3,500 children,” Bilefsky and Carvajal called the alleged massacre “the worst ethnically motivated mass murder on the European continent since World War II,” Mladic to stand trial for “war crimes….”

Other accounts were similar, including Reuters headlining, “Instant view: West hails news of Mladic arrest in Serbia,” quoting “sources” like UK Defense Secretary Liam Fox saying:

“It’s clearly (an arrest) to be welcomed….It’s a reminder to all those who fly in the face of international justice that sooner or later they will be brought to book for their crimes.”

He’s right, hopefully. Sooner or later real war criminals like American, Israeli and UK ones may have to answer for numerous crimes of war and against humanity, slaughtering millions for power and profit.

For example: Years of Western-backed Balkan wars culminated with NATO’s 1999 Serbia/Kosovo terror bombing, an atrocity playwright/Nobel laureate Harold Pinter described as follows:

“Little did we think two years ago that we had elected a government which would take a leading role in what is essentially a criminal act, showing total contempt for the United Nations and international law.” Saying it made him ashamed to be British, he called cutting children to pieces from 15,000 feet “barbaric” and despicably hypocritical.

“Let us face the truth,” he added. “Neither Clinton nor Blair (gave) a damn about the Kosovar Albanians. This action has been yet another blatant and brutal assertion of US power using NATO as its missile. It set out to consolidate one thing – American domination of Europe. This must be recognised and it must be resisted.”

This barbarism mustn’t be allowed to stand. Yet victims are held accountable for the perpetrators, the way victors’ justice always works – including writing the mythology about what allegedly happened in July 1995 at Srebrenica.

A Potocari, Bosnia Genocide Memorial Stone (SrebrenicaStone.jpg) lists “8372….” deaths. Saying it, however, doesn’t make it so.

Separating Truths from Mythology

Diana Johnstone wrote the definitive Balkan wars history. Her book, “Fools’ Crusade: Yugoslavia, NATO and Western Delusions,” is essential reading to understand its causes and long-lasting effects.

For the West, it was about deterring Milosevic’s “Greater Serbia” quest, a gross mischaracterization about a war Western powers wanted and initiated, notably America and Germany. They encouraged cessation, provoked conflict, then took credit for ending it, committing real massacres in the process.

Milosevic, in fact, wanted Yugoslavia’s disintegration prevented. When it happened, he wanted minority Serbs protected, allowed either to stay in Yugoslavia or get autonomy in newly created rump states. Washington, however, had other aims. Johnstone believes they included:

  • occupation, colonization and exploitation;

  • preventing a European-backed settlement;

  • “assert(ing) dominance over European allies in the arbitration of European conflicts;”

  • expanding NATO through an “out of area” humanitarian mission, aka US-led war, domination, colonization and military occupation; and

  • “gain(ing) influence in the Muslim world by (allegedly) championing the Bosnian Muslims.”

She also called “government by international bureaucracy (a) new trend in the New World Order.”

As a result, “Bosnia-Herzegovina has been ruled by a similar combination: a complicated set of local authorities under the strict supervision of a ‘High Representative’ (a contemporary Proconsul or Viceroy) who can, and does, annul laws adopted by the local democratic institutions or dismiss democratically chosen officials” not in tow with official Washington.

In other words, dictatorship called democracy, the kind Washington disdains and won’t tolerate abroad or at home. Never, in fact, in one of its colonies, the latest at the time pounded mercilessly from March 24 – June 10, 1999.

Around 600 aircraft flew about 3,000 sorties, dropping thousands of tons of ordnance as well as hundreds of ground-launched cruise missiles. Up to then, its ferocity was unprecedented.

Nearly everything was struck, causing massive destruction and disruption, including:

  • known or suspected military sites;

  • power plants;

  • factories;

Using NATO as a missile, it was lawless Pentagon aggression called humanitarian intervention whenever America goes to war, including Iraq 1991, again in 2003, Afghanistan in 2001, and currently Libya, slaughtering civilians, not protecting them.

In Serbia/Kosovo, an estimated $100 billion in damage was inflicted. A humanitarian disaster resulted. Environmental contamination was extensive. Large numbers were killed, injured or displaced. Two million people lost their livelihoods, many their homes and communities, and for most their futures under Western domination.

Serbia/Kosovo, in fact, was a prototype for new millennium aggression to eliminate challenges to US dominance, waging permanent wars to perpetuate it.

Srebrenica – Separating Myth from Known Facts

On October 12, 2005, Johnstone discussed it in her CounterPunch article titled, “Srebrenica Revisited,” remembering its summer 10th anniversary when the “dominant themes were ‘nostra culpa:’ ‘we’ let it happen, ‘we’ didn’t want to know about it, and ‘we’ mustn’t let it happen again.”

Who are “we,” she asked, and how accurate is the official story, questions to this day “virtually taboo” to preserve the official myth, including exaggerating Serb atrocities “whereas Muslim atrocities (such as the decapitations of Serb prisoners, fully documented) remained confidential.

Official accounts portrayed “a one-sided conflict between a Serbian ‘fascist aggressor’ and innocent victims, all unarmed civilians.”

Unexplained was that Srebrenica was a Muslim military base, besides a refugee “safe area.” Slobodan Milosevic, in fact, wanted Serb forces restrained from overrunning it. In addition:

  • before the July 1995 attack, Srebrebica-based Muslim forces “carried out murderous attacks on nearby Serb villages;”

  • Muslim Sarajevo officials withdrew their Srebrenica commanders, “leaving thousands of….soldiers (leaderless), without orders, and in total confusion when the foreseeable Serb attack occurred;”

  • when “Bosnian Serb forces captured (Srebrenica) on July 11, 1995,” civilians wanted to leave because normality there didn’t exist;

  • separating women and children from men was, in fact, done to find “the perpetrators of raids on Serb villages (to) take revenge;” and

  • yet only a small number “were detained at that point;” some, in fact, survived.

The alleged Srebrenica victim count reflected lies and half-truths based on what’s known but omitted in official and major media accounts. The 8,000 number included the Red Cross estimate of 3,000 “witnesses,” allegedly detained by Bosnian Serbs, as well as another 5,000 Red Cross accounts said “fled Srebrenica, some of whom reached Central Bosnia.”

In other words, they fled. They weren’t killed. Yet, they were added to the mythical death toll to inflate it. Years later, in fact, forensic teams discovered 2,361 bodies in the area where heavy fighting occurred, including combatants on both sides, not massacred civilians.

Johnstone explained that “(n)either the Bosnian Serbs nor the Muslims were ever forthcoming with whatever information they had, (yet) the ’8,000′ figure (became) an established total of ‘Muslim men and boys executed by Serb forces.’ ”

Afterward, Washington exploited Srebrenica to:

  • conceal “the US-backed Croatian offensive,”  forcefully removing Serbs from Krajina, an operation approved and supported by Washington, perhaps killing larger numbers than the alleged Srebrenica numbers, including women and children ruthlessly; and

  • “implicate Bosnian Serb leaders in ‘genocide’ (to) disqualify them from negotiating the future of Bosnia-Herzegovina.”

Exploiting the alleged Srebrenica massacre facilitated waging 1999 imperial war by blaming UN inability to protect it, so NATO’s humanitarian war had to intervene. In addition, Milosevic was falsely criminalized for alleged genocidal killings “against non-Serbs for purely racist reasons.”

Claiming Serbian caused genocide was, in fact, used “as an effective instrument (to) restructur(e) Yugoslavia,” balkanizing it under US control. Official and media propaganda repeated fabrications, exaggerations, and half-truths about what happened, portraying victims as perpetrators to this day.

Heading for a Hague tribunal lynching, Ratko Mladic is already guilty by accusation before he arrives. Washington, of course, insists on it to perpetuate the official lie, a massacre invented out of whole cloth.

Yet most people still believe it, the same ones perhaps thinking Washington’s led NATO war on Gaddafi is another humanitarian intervention, when, in fact, it’s more imperial aggression, slaughtering civilians daily, not protecting them!

Dr Scampa’s Lethal Doses Count Increases Dramatically

by Bob Nichols

(San Francisco) – The world’s second big nuclear disaster occurred at Chernobyl Reactor No. 4 in the Ukraine on Apr 26, 1986. Simply tagged as “Chernobyl,” it is what the next big and well known nuke disaster, after the American Three Mile Island, on March 28, 1979 came to be called. “Chernobyl” ejected 30% of one 192-ton, three-month old reactor core. That’s 57.6 radioactive tons thrown into the air by fire and explosions.

The tiny radioactive and burning smoke particles have traveled around the world many times since 1979, killing an estimated one million people to date from radiation caused illnesses and cancers. This is according to Editor Dr Janette Sherman’s exhaustive and widely acclaimed book on 5,000 Chernobyl scientific papers recently published by the New York Academy of Sciences [1].

Fukushima Daiichi Equals 50 Plus Chernobyls

As Dr. Michio Kaku, a world renowned CUNY theoretical physicist pointed out on CNN March 18, 2011, Chernobyl involved one reactor and only 57.6 Tons of the reactor core went into the atmosphere. In dramatic contrast, the Fukushima Daiichi disaster immediately involved six reactors and IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency, a UN Agency) documented 2,800 Tons of highly radioactive old reactor cores.

Simple division tells us there are at least 48.6 Chernobyls in the burning old reactor cores pumping fiery isotopes into the Earth’s atmosphere. It is no stretch to say Fukushima Daiichi’s six reactors and the dry holding pools for old reactor cores are equal to more than 50 Chernobyl disasters.

Further clarification is needed, of course, and it is being worked out now by independent physicists. Note that the lethality of radioactive reactor cores goes up the first 250,000 years they are out of the reactor – not down.

Looking at the current Japanese meltdown as more than 50 Chernobyls is just the start. In addition, the fate of the four nearby reactors at Fukushima Daini is as yet unknown by the outside world. Working at the nearby reactors, only 10 km (6 miles away) is a quick, painful death sentence. They are inside the mandatory evacuation zone.

This much is known. All radioactive exposures are cumulative for each human, animal and plant. What’s more, mutated genetic codes are passed on to offspring forever. This means all Japanese and all Northern Hemisphere inhabitants are suffering internal radioactive contamination from Fukushima Daiichi reactors already.

Fukushima Equals 3,000 Billion Lethal Doses

Dr Paolo Scampa, a widely know EU Physicist, single handedly popularized the easily understood Lethal Doses concept. “Lethal Doses” is a world wide, well  understood idea that strips Physics bare and offers a brilliant, understandable  explanation for all the physics gobbledygook Intelligence agencies and their respective governments use to disguise the brutal truths of the Fukushima Daiichi Disaster.

Fukushima from 21,000 ft TKYFukushima from 21,000 ft TKY

Three thousand billion (3,000,000,000,000) Lethal Doses of Radiation means there are 429 Lethal Doses chasing each and every one of us on the planet, to put it in a nutshell. This is up from about 70 Billion Lethal Doses March 23, 2011. It is getting worse everyday without any intervention by the US and the other nuclear powers.

VeteransToday calls on the world’s nuclear powers to intervene sooner rather than later. It is up to the world’s only remaining Super Power, the United States, to get the Japan Reactor Disaster Intervention meeting officially underway.

The Fukushima Kill

The Fukushima Kill, already underway world wide, will certainly dwarf that of Chernobyl. All US Super Power President Obama’s delay does is increase the  numbers of The Kill. That is a clear Choice. We call on President Obama to re-visit that Choice.

Further, the Genetic and DNA changing aspects of the radioactivity now in the air, spreading worldwide within a year, will spawn a grotesque new assortment of radiation-degraded mutants; both human and of other life forms.

Many of these creatures in the animal world will not survive long outside the womb, if carried to term.  What’s more, future Human Genetic Mutants of ever-lower intelligence and greater, more grotesque physical deformities are the genetic legacy of Humanity forevermore. That is the new starting point for any rational and reality-based national or foreign policy.

What We Know Now about Fukushima

Here is what is known more than 75 days after six reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Reactor Plant started a disastrous and lethal nuclear meltdown on March 11, 2011.

– March 11, 14:46, a One Million Kiloton Earthquake measuring 9.0 on the Richter Scale hammered Japan off-shore near the six Japanese reactors. The reactors attempted to shut down automatically when electronic sensors detected the earthquake. The huge earthquake dropped the reactors three feet, moved Japan 8 inches to the West and altered the tilt of the Axis of planet Earth.

– March 11, about 15:30, the giant Earthquake caused a tsunami up to 30 meters (98.4 Ft) high washed away all the fuel tanks for the reactors Emergency Generators and all the reactors’ outside electrical feeds. This was the Death Blow to the reactors.

The six Fukushima Daiichi reactors were dead in the water and their fate sealed. Without an external source of electricity for the water pumps and hot reactors, they are just so much radioactive scrap iron – good for nothing. The internal temperature of the reactors started climbing immediately.

– March 11, about 18:00, only two and a half hours later, multiple reactor cores started melting down as the reactors internal temperatures skyrocketed to the melting point of uranium and beyond – a measured 1,718 Deg C (3,124.4 Deg F) past the melting point.

Uranium melts at 1,132.2 Deg C (2,069.9 Deg F.) The internal reactor temperatures reached at least 2,850 Deg C, (5,162 Deg F.) The millions of 1 mm Uranium fuel pellets in the reactors and in the core pools had no defense at all without the powerful water pumps and billions of gallons of cooling water against those temperatures.

The Uranium pellets simply melted forming a white hot lava-like radioactive uranium isotope blob that was and probably still is super heated by the power of the uranium atom itself. The highly radioactive blob then burned through the graphite seals of the General Electric Mark 1 Reactor Control Rods at the bottom of the American submarine based reactor design of US Navy Admiral Hyman Rickover, now deceased.

General Electric copied the US Government financed Navy nuclear reactor design for many commercial nuclear reactors. The Radioactive Blobs trickled out of hundreds of control rod holes instead of melting together to form a single giant,  highly radioactive, burning lava blob like that of Chernobyl.

The Solution, Then and Now, has Changed

World famous theoretical physicist Dr. Michio Kaku caught the world’s attention on a March 18, 2011 CNN broadcast when he suggested the Prime Minister of Japan immediately choose the “Chernobyl Option” for the Fukushima Daiichi General Electric reactors.

Kaku said the Japanese PM should order the Japanese Air Self Defense Force to bomb the reactors into submission with boron, sand, water and concrete like the Red Army did to kill the out-of-control Chernobyl reactor on orders of USSR President Gorbachev. Boron absorbs neutrons, the radioactive heart of the reactors.

The time for Dr. Kaku’s “Chernobyl Option” has passed. Multiple explosions destroyed the reactors and the swimming pools holding old reactor cores weeks ago. Hundreds to thousands of tons of burning highly radioactive reactor cores are scattered all over the Fukushima Daiichi site. The reactors are releasing as much as a Tepco (Tokyo Electric Power Company) measured 10 Quintillion (10,000 Trillion Bq) radioactive counts per second of deadly radioactive smoke particles into the Earth’s atmosphere.

The invisible, killing Radioactive Smoke is already all over the Northern Hemisphere and everyone in it – each and every one – is radiologically contaminated. The scope of Dr. Kaku’s once brilliant former solution is unfortunately, now too small and ineffective.

Generally speaking, most Radiation cannot escape into the atmosphere if it is covered by water. Honshu, Japan is an island and the Pacific Ocean is conveniently located nearby.

Subsidence charges from multiple nuclear weapons buried by drilling rigs 500 ft (152.4 meters)  below and inland of the string of six reactors must be engineered to slide the reactors into the sea. This method works best if there is igneous or volcanic rock behind the subsidence charges, to “bounce” the blast and pressure wave from and “push” the trashed reactors area of the beachfront into the sea.

Specially equipped submarines can then pick up the pieces of reactor cores from under water. The surface of the ocean blocks the escape of radiation. The submarines must work fast to limit killing more of the Earth’s Oceans.

Veterans Today calls on President Obama to authorize the disposal of the six reactors at sea and the collection of the deadly radioactive metals with submarines. We conclude there are no other options left.

The “Do Nothing Option”

The “Do Nothing Option” allows the deaths and maiming of many millions of people to rapidly proceed. Doing nothing, by default, allows the Fukushima Kill to ruthlessly continue unabated. Doing nothing is also not acceptable from a practical standpoint; because, Japan does not own the nuclear weapons to use themselves.

Nuke the reactors at Fukushima Daiichi right into the sea, Mr. President.

“This is a collection of papers translated from the Russian with some revised and updated contributions. Written by leading authorities from Eastern Europe, the volume outlines the history of the health and environmental consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. Although there has been discussion of the impact of nuclear accidents and Chernobyl in particular, never before has there been a comprehensive presentation of all the available information concerning the health and environmental effects of the low dose radioactive contaminants, especially those emitted from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Official discussions from the International Atomic Energy Agency and associated United Nations’ agencies (e.g. the Chernobyl Forum reports) have largely downplayed or ignored many of the findings reported in the Eastern European scientific literature and consequently have erred by not including these assessments.”
