‘Al-Akhbar’ says Israel looking to release three Egyptian nationals in exchange for Grapel.
Zio-Nazi regime is pursuing a prisoner exchange for accused Zionist spy Ilan Grapel, the Egyptian newspaper Al- Akhbar reported on Sunday.
The report said Zionist’s has offered to release three Egyptians recently arrested in IsraHell in exchange for the 27-year-old American-IsraHell Zionist spy  dual citizen, who was arrested by Egyptian state security officers at his downtown Cairo hotel last Sunday for allegedly spying for the Nazi  intelligence.
A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry would not comment on the report, but said that IsraHell “is doing what it can in order to help Grapel, and get him out of Egypt.”
He added that Zio-Nazi authorities have no ironclad assessment of when this will take place. He also confirmed that officials from the Zio-Nazi Embassy in Cairo visited Grapel last week.
Also on Sunday, Egyptian newspaper Al-Masry al-Youm posted on its website a video reportedly released by Egyptian state security that purports to show Grapel as he is under surveillance by security officers.
In the video, which includes a dramatic instrumental soundtrack, Grapel can be seen briefly standing outside what the paper says is the Azbakiya police station in Cairo during a violent incident in June in which a microbus driver allegedly died after being tortured by police. The rest of the video posted on the site shows pictures of Grapel which he posted on his Facebook page, including ones from his IDF service.
Egyptian newspaper Al- Ahram reported on Thursday that Grapel could face an indictment this week.
The report added that Grapel had confessed to working for the Mossad to foment sectarian strife and “penetrate” political groups in Egypt for intelligence reports he sent back to IsraHell.
The same article claimed that Grapel wrote that he was a Muslim on the visa application he filled out at the Egyptian Embassy in Tel Aviv and that he made his way into meetings of the Muslim Brotherhood and other Egyptian parties in order to gather intelligence.
The New York native and Emory University law student went to Cairo this summer while working for a non-profit organization that helps African refugees. His family, friends, and the Israeli government have all denied that he was working as an espionage agent in Egypt.
Most notably, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman told Army Radio last Tuesday that Grapel “is a student, maybe a bit strange or irresponsible; but he has no connection to any intelligence service; not IsraHell or American and not on Mars.”

Israel Navy commander Adm. Eliezer Marom issued a stark warning on Sunday for the organizers of the Gaza flotilla intended to set sail at the end of the month.

“The Navy has prevented and will continue to prevent the arrival of the ‘hate flotilla’ whose only goals are to clash with IDF soldiers, create media provocation and to delegitimize the State of Israel,” Marom cautioned, speaking during the Israel Navy Divers’ Course concluding ceremony.

The Navy commander called on all parties involved to do everything they can to prevent the departure of what he called the “provocation flotilla.”

He said that a number of figures in the international community have said “that a humanitarian crisis in Gaza is nonexistent, and that all supplies may enter Gaza via the land crossings in a coordinated manner.”

Marom also added that the flotilla allows Hamas to get equipped with an unlimited amount of weapons in order to carry out terror acts on Israel.

On Friday, the Turkish organization IHH announced that the Mavi Marmara ship, on which nine Turkish activists were killed last May when it was intercepted by Israeli commandos on its way to Gaza, will not take part in the upcoming convoy.

Organizers of the flotilla expressed disappointment that the Turkish IHH will not take an active role in the convoy, which will still set sail without the Marmara later this month.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Arab Higher Monitoring Committee, which was supposed to discuss on Saturday the composition of its delegation for the flotilla, removed the item from its agenda in light of recent changes.

The committee said that it had been invited by the Turks to participate in the flotilla. Due to the IHH’s cancellation, the number of participants from the Higher Monitoring Committee is expected to be reduced.

Missing Funds at Nearly Triple the US Audit Figure

Last week, an audit by the US Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction revealed that of the $20 billion flown by the United States to Iraq, some $6.6 billion is still completely unaccounted for and believed stolen.
But Iraqi officials say the amount is much higher, with Parliament Speaker Osama Nujaifi saying that the Iraqi government’s probe found some $18 billion still missing, and that the nation’s parliament is still expecting an answer for where it went.
The US shipped the $20 billion in Iraqi government funds (part of the UN’s Oil for Food program) in physical cash, $100 bills stacked on palettes and crammed into the airplanes. There was virtually no effort to keep track of where all these $100 bills went.
But while Iraqi officials have discussed suing the US for losing their money, the government now says that the UN Security Council’s resolutions gave the US total immunity from lawsuits related to the 2003 invasion and by extension any money lost or stolen since then.

I am fed up with all this nonsense about recognizing Israel as the “Jewish state.”

It is based on a collection of hollow phrases and vague definitions, devoid of any real content. It serves many different purposes, almost all of them malign.

Benjamin Netanyahu uses it as a trick to obstruct the establishment of the Palestinian state. This week he declared that the conflict just has no solution. Why? Because the Palestinians do not agree to recognize, etc., etc.

Four rightist members of the Knesset have just submitted a bill empowering the government to refuse to register new NGOs and to dissolve existing ones if they “deny the Jewish character of the state.”

This new bill is only one of a series designed to curtail the civil rights of Arab citizens, as well as those of leftists.

If the late Dr. Samuel Johnson were living in present-day Israel, he would phrase his famous dictum about patriotism differently: “Recognition of the Jewish character of the state is the last refuge of a scoundrel.”

In Israeli parlance, denying the “Jewish character” of the state is tantamount to the worst of all political felonies: to claim that Israel is a “state of all its citizens.”

To a foreigner, this may sound a bit weird. In a democracy, the state clearly belongs to all its citizens. Mention this in the United States, and you are stating the obvious. Mention this in Israel, and you are treading dangerously close to treason. (So much for our much-vaunted “common” values.”)

As a matter of fact, Israel is indeed a state of all its citizens. All adult Israeli citizens—and only they—have the right to vote for the Knesset. The Knesset appoints the government and determines the laws. It has enacted many laws declaring that Israel is a “Jewish and democratic state.” In ten or in a hundred years, the Knesset could hoist the flag of Catholicism, Buddhism, or Islam. In a democracy, it is the citizens who are sovereign, not a verbal formula.

“What formula?” one may well ask.

The courts favor the words “Jewish and democratic state.” But that is far from being the only definition around.

The most widely used is just “Jewish state.” But that is not enough for Netanyahu and Co., who speak about “the nation-state of the Jewish people,” which has a nice 19th-century ring. The “state of the Jewish people” is also quite popular.

The one thing that all these brand -names have in common is that they are perfectly imprecise. What does “Jewish” mean? A nationality, a religion, a tribe? Who are the “Jewish people”? Or, even more vague, the “Jewish nation”? Does this include the congressmen who enact the laws of the United States? Or the cohorts of Jews who are in charge of U.S. Middle East policy? Which country does the Jewish ambassador of the UK in Tel Aviv represent?

The courts have been wrestling with the question: where is the border between “Jewish” and “democratic”? What does “democratic” mean in this context? Can a “Jewish” state really be “democratic,” or, for that matter, can a “democratic” state really be “Jewish”? All the answers given by learned judges and renowned professors are contrived, or, as we say in Hebrew, they “stand on chickens’ legs.”

Let’s go back to the beginning: the book written in German by Theodor Herzl, the founding father of Zionism, and published in 1896. He called it Der Judenstaat.

Unfortunately, this is a typical German word that is untranslatable. It is generally rendered in English as “The Jewish State” or “The State of the Jews.” Both are quite false. The nearest approximation would be “The Jewstate.”

If this sounds slightly anti-Semitic, this is not by accident. It may come as a shock to many, but the word was not invented by Herzl. It was first used by a Prussian nobleman with an impressive name— Friedrich August Ludwig von der Marwitz—who died 23 years before Herzl was even born. He was a dedicated anti-Semite long before another German invented the term “anti-Semitism” as an expression of the healthy German spirit.

Marwitz, an ultra-conservative general, objected to the liberal reforms proposed at the time. In 1811 he warned that these reforms would turn Prussia into a “Judenstaat,” a Jewstate. He did not mean that Jews were about to become a majority in Prussia, God forbid, but that moneylenders and other shady Jewish dealers would corrupt the character of the country and wipe out the good old Prussian virtues.

Herzl himself did not dream of a state that belongs to all the Jews in the world. Quite the contrary—his vision was that all real Jews would go to the Judenstaat (whether in Argentina or Palestine, he had not yet decided). They—and only they—would thenceforth remain “Jews.” All the others would become assimilated in their host nations and cease altogether to be Jews.

Far, far indeed from the notion of a “nation-state of the Jewish people” as envisioned by many of today’s Zionists, including those millions who do not dream of immigrating to Israel.

When I was a boy, I took part in dozens of demonstrations against the British government of Palestine. In all of them, we chanted in unison “Free immigration! Hebrew state!” I don’t remember a single demonstration with the slogan “Jewish state.”

That was quite natural. Without anyone decreeing it, we made a clear distinction between us Hebrew-speaking people in Palestine and the Jews in the Diaspora. Some of us turned this into an ideology, but for most people it was just a natural expression of reality: Hebrew agriculture and Jewish tradition, Hebrew underground and Jewish religion, Hebrew kibbutz and Jewish shtetl. Hebrew Yishuv (the new community in the country) and Jewish Diaspora. To be called a “Diaspora Jew” was the ultimate insult.

For us this was not anti-Zionist by any means. Quite the contrary: Zionism wanted to create an old-new nation in Eretz Israel (as Palestine is called in Hebrew), and this nation was of course quite distinct from the Jews elsewhere. It was only the Holocaust, with its huge emotional impact, that changed the verbal rules.

So how did the formula “Jewish state” creep in? In 1917, in the middle of World War I, the British government issued the so-called Balfour Declaration, which proclaimed that “His Majesty’s Government views with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.”

Every word was carefully chosen, after months of negotiations with Zionist leaders. One of the main British objects was to win American and Russian Jews for the Allied cause. Revolutionary Russia was about to get out of the war, and the entry of isolationist America was essential.

(By the way, the British rejected the words “the turning of Palestine into a national home for the Jewish people,” insisting on “in Palestine”—thus foreshadowing the partition of the country.)

In 1947 the UN did decide to partition Palestine between its Arab and Jewish populations. This said nothing about the character of the two future states—it just used the current definitions of the two warring parties. About 40 percent of the population in the territory allocated to the “Jewish” state was Arab.

The advocates of the “Jewish state” make much of the sentence in the “Declaration of the Establishment of the State of Israel” (generally called the “Declaration of Independence”) which indeed includes the words “Jewish state.” After quoting the UN resolution which called for a Jewish and an Arab state, the declaration continues: “Accordingly we … on the strength of the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, hereby declare the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz Israel, to be known as the state of Israel.”

This sentence says nothing at all about the character of the new state, and the context is purely formal.

One of the paragraphs of the declaration (in its original Hebrew version) speaks about the “Hebrew people”: “We extend our hands to all neighboring states and their peoples in an offer of peace and good neighborliness, and appeal to them to establish bonds of cooperation and mutual help with the independent Hebrew people in its land.” This sentence is blatantly falsified in the official English translation, which changed the last words into “the sovereign Jewish people settled in its own land.”

As a matter of fact, it would have been quite impossible to reach agreement on any ideological formula, since the declaration was signed by the leaders of all factions, from the anti-Zionist ultra-Orthodox to the Moscow-oriented Communist Party.

Any talk about the Jewish state leads inevitably to the question: What are the Jews—a nation or a religion?

Official Israeli doctrine says that “Jewish” is both a national and a religious definition. The Jewish collective, unlike any other, is both national and religious. With us, nation and religion are one and the same.

The only door of entry to this collective is religious. There is no national door.

Hundreds of thousands of non-Jewish Russian immigrants have come to Israel under the Law of Return with their Jewish relatives. This law is very broad. In order to attract the Jews, it allows even distant non-Jewish relatives to come with them, including the spouse of the grandchild of a Jew. Many of these non-Jews want to be Jews in order to be considered full Israelis, but have tried in vain to be accepted. Under Israeli law, a Jew is a person “born to a Jewish mother or converted, who has not adopted another religion.” This is a purely religious definition. Jewish religious law says that for this purpose, only the mother, not the father, counts.

It is extremely difficult to be converted in Israel. The rabbis demand that the convert fulfill all 613 commandments of the Jewish religion—which only very few recognized Israelis do. But one cannot become an official member of the stipulated Jewish “nation” by any other door. One becomes a part of the American nation by accepting U.S. citizenship. Nothing like that exists here.

We have an ongoing battle about this in Israel. Some of us want Israel to be an Israeli state, belonging to the Israeli people, indeed a “state of all its citizens.” Some want to impose on us the religious law supposedly fixed by God for all times on Mount Sinai some 3,200 years ago and abolish all contrary laws of the democratically elected Knesset. Many don’t want any change at all.

But how, in God’s name (sorry), does this concern the Palestinians? Or the Icelanders, for that matter?

The demand that the Palestinians recognize Israel as “the Jewish state” or as “the nation-state of the Jewish people” is preposterous.

As the British would put it, it’s none of their bloody business. It would be tantamount to an intervention in the internal affairs of another country.

But a friend of mine has suggested a simple way out: the Knesset can simply resolve to change the name of the state into something like “The Jewish Republic of Israel,” so that any peace agreement between Israel and the Arab State of Palestine will automatically include the demanded recognition.

This would also bring Israel into line with the state it most resembles: “The Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” which came into being almost at the same time, after the partition of India, after a gruesome mutual massacre, after the creation of a huge refugee problem, and with a perpetual border war in Kashmir. And the nuclear bomb, of course.

Many Israelis would be shocked by the comparison. What, us? Similar to a theocratic state? Are we getting closer to the Pakistani model and further from the American one?

What the hell, let’s simply deny it!

US Drone Strikes Kill 12 in Pakistani Tribal Area

Seven of Slain Reportedly Buried in Afghanistan

A flurry of overnight drone strikes by US Predator drones has left at least 12 people dead and an unknown number of others wounded. The first strike hit a vehicle, and then a second strike targeted tribesmen who rushed to the scene to aid the wounded.
Not long after, a third strike was fired at a home near where the vehicle had been attacked. The identities of the slain are unknown, but Pakistani officials say at least seven were taken across the border to neighboring Afghanistan for burial.
Though officials used this to claim that the slain were “Afghan militants” the border around the tribal areas is largely invisible, and many tribemen cross back and forth at will, visiting relatives on either side of the porous border.
The attack struck in the Kurram Agency, just north of North Waziristan. It is unusual for US drones to attack far outside of the Waziristan Agencies, but not unheard of. Pakistani officials say they believe the attack targeted the Haqqani network and termed everyone slain, even two tribesmen who rushed to rescue the wounded “suspected militants.”

Speaking today on NBC’s Meet the Press, Senator and war-enthusiast Lindsey Graham (R – SC) said that the US Congress should “sort of shut up” about the illegal war in Libya, saying an effort to debate that president’s decision to launch the confilict would “empower Gadhafi.”

President Obama has claimed the War Powers Act doesn’t apply to the war in Libya, because it isn’t technically “hostilities.” This claim is in spite of legal advice to the contrary from both Pentagon and Justice Department councils that attacking Libya most assuredly is “hostilities.”
For Sen. Graham, however, the semantic argument doesn’t even enter into it. Rather he insists that President Obama’s position as “commander-in-chief” makes it inappropriate for Congress to exercise any oversight over who he chooses to attack.
Graham insisted that if the war ended, the price of oil would “double” because Gadhafi, who is barely able to maintain control over half of his country, would “take the whole region and put it into chaos.”
President Obama’s deadline to seek Congressional authorization was May 20. Even though his administration had insisted before this that the War Powers Act did apply, he changed course over the past week, insisting it is a special case.

My reliable source on Bahrain sent me this:  “This is a long email.  There’s a lot going on in Bahrain now.

As you know, the National Dialogue will be occurring in March.  The dialogue will be headed by the head of the Parliament who is sectarian and has the intellect of a first grader.  He is a hardliner and a strong supporter of the regime and the Prime Minister.  Of course he doesn’t have any authority since he isn’t from the royal family, so the government is basically sending a message to everyone that it isn’t serious.  In addition over 60 societies (political and non-political) have been invited to the dialogue. Since the government cares so much about expats all of a sudden, they will be invited too.  Here’s a highly informative blogpost discussing the issue:
Also Al Wefaq had a major rally on friday.  Ali Salman’s speech (head of Al Wefaq) wasn’t really clear but from what I understood he is saying that the government isn’t serious about dialogue and that they want meaningful reform.  The National Unity Gathering (pro-government coalition) was supposed to hold a rally on Saturday with the Prime Minister in attendance but for some odd reason, they were asked by the government to cancel the event.  Why?  Who knows
As you probably know, Waad, the secular leftist political society and the strongest opposition group after Al-Wefaq was banned earlier in the crackdown.  Waad offices were destroyed, its leader Ebrahim Sharif was thrown in jail and the house of Muneera Fakhro, one of Waads prominent members was attacked twice.  As a result, Waad had completely disappeared from the picture.
Now for reasons I don’t understand, the government has decided to lift the ban on Waad [See here:  ].  There are also rumors that Ebrahim Sharif as well as many other political prisoners will be released on friday of next week.  Waad also apparently issued an apology to the government on facebook:    The apology basically recognizes the legitimacy of the current Bahraini regime.  If this is true then Waad will have betrayed its constituents.  However, Mureena Fakhro was recently interviewed on twitter and she stated that Waad has no intention of backing down from its original demands, that it stands firmly with Al Wefaq and that it will settle for nothing less than a constitutional monarchy.  She said that no official statement has been released by Waad and that they will be releasing one shortly.
There also have been rumors that many Waad members are resigning due to political differences (i.e. the rumors are that many members of waad no longer support it and instead now support the national unity gathering) but Muneera Fakhro stated that there are no resignations that she is aware of.  Al Wefaq then tweeted that it welcomes the decision to reinstate Waad and that it is confident that Waad will remain strong and faithful to its history although it recognizes that because it was banned it was under a lot of pressure.  The Democratic Progressive Tribune (smaller leftist opposition society) also tweeted that it stands firmly with Waad and Al Wefaq.  Al Wefaq, the Progressive Democratic Tribune and Muneera Fakhro’s statements all appear to be in response that the 7 opposition societies are splitting because of Waads apology (which Muneera Fakhro seems to deny).
Meanwhile, the US Assistant Secretary of State is in Bahrain and he gave a speech on the importance of dialogue and moving on:  / This speech would have been welcomed had it been issued on February 14 but now things have changed.  Also the editor of Al Wasat is on trial: And in an idiotic move, the Bahraini government has decided to sue the Independent:
As usual, the government is sending mixed messages.  What does the reinstatement of Waad mean?  Why now?  Is it because of US pressure or do they have a plan in mind?  The government is obviously not serious about dialogue.  If you can provide any sort of analysis as to what is going on please let us all know!  I am really worried about what will happen next.  Of course there is one thing that consoles me:  The government has made mistake after mistake after mistake so I doubt they will be getting any smarter (but you never know – the US is in Bahrain now and might try to advise them)”

Brian Haw brings a whole new meaning to Rest in Peace

Brian Haw died of lung cancer yesterday in Germany where he was being treated.
Here’s the BBC:

Mr Haw, 62, set up a camp in London’s Parliament Square in 2001 in protest against UK and US foreign policy.
In March 2011, a High Court ruling obtained by London’s mayor forced him to move his camp on to the pavement.
In a statement posted on Mr Haw’s website, his family said he had died on 18 June in Germany, where he had been receiving medical treatment.
They said Mr Haw, from Redditch, Worcestershire, passed away in his sleep in no pain.

This is an old post of mine. I publish it again because I am about to delete my old site. Some of the Zionists and crypto Zionists caricatures mentioned in this piece  are still desperate to bring me down. But for some reason they are defeated time after time. 



For more than ten years I have been writing about Israel, Zionism and Jewish identity. I am engaged in a process of deconstruction and critique of different Jewish texts, ideas, politics and practice. My intent is aiming towards some deeper realisation of what Zionism is. In my opinion, Zionism is one of the most dangerous political movements. It is a global operation that threatens world peace on a daily basis.

I am delighted to say that my views are well distributed. My books are translated into 22 languages, my papers are highly circulated as well. I contribute regularly to many left magazines both in the printed media as well as online ones. And yet, I have never seen an argumentative piece against any of my writings. No one has ever dared challenge my philosophical ideas. Instead of doing that, they label me. They call me names, they misquote me, they lie and they are very quick to believe their own lies. In other words, based on their responses, they are Zionists and they behave like ones.

Atzmon the Self-Hating Jew – I recently won the Jewish Chronicle’s ‘Self-Hating Jew Weekly Award’ (The Jewish Chronicle 24/6/2005 Diary column, Simon Round).

My comment: If there is a political Jew within me, I do indeed fight him to the bitter end. But then, rather than viewing such a battle as a symptom of a pathological mental state, I tend to regard it as a healthy progressive dialectic procedure.

Atzmon the Racist – This is a statement published in various places. Mark Elf, a 3rd category Jew who has his own blog is totally convinced that I am ‘deeply racist and Anti-Semitic’ . This very idea was repeated lately by David Aaronovitch, another fellow Zionist journalist who specialises in collecting broken bits of information from London’s Jewish web sites.

My comment: There is not a single racist remark in any of my political writings or in my performances. I do not refer to any form of biological determinism. I have never written about race or referred to it whatsoever. Moreover, I have never supported any form of discrimination against Jews or anyone else. If anything, I support total equality. I would admit though that my fictional characters are often enough racist to the bone, but it is exactly their racism which I ridicule.

Atzmon the Anti-Semite – rather often I am accused by left Jews of being an Anti-Semite.

My comment: I am an anti Zionist and oppose the Zionist mindset. I look at questions of Jewish identity and I do question the ties between a Jewish world view and Zionism. I refute totally that I am anti-Semite. In fact I also believe that the current concept of an Anti-Semitism is meaningless.

Once the Zionists had managed to establish their Jewish state, any form of anti Jewish sentiments should be comprehended either as a private case of xenophobia or as a political retaliation to Israeli/Zionist atrocities. In other words, the title Anti-Semite became an ‘empty signifier, i.e. a signifier with a vague, highly variable, unspecifiable or non-existent signified. It is an empty verbal utterance that exists merely to serve a political cause (very much like Blair’s WMD and Bush’s Axis of Evil). Because Anti-Semite is an empty signifier, no one actually can be an Anti-Semite and this includes me of course. In short, you are either a racist which I am not or have an ideological disagreement with Zionism, which I have.

Atzmon the Holocaust Denier – In a letter to Bookmarks, a Socialist bookshop in London, Tony Greenstein, a British Jewish ethnic activist, as well as a 3rd category man, stated that he called for a picket against the bookshop during my appearance. In the official position letter he labeled me as the ‘Holocaust Denier Gilad Atzmon’.

My comment: 3rd category Jews love the Holocaust, therefore, some of them spend a lot of time searching for its deniers. Greenstein is no doubt a Holocaust denier hunter. Anyhow, on the same day, after being warned that such an accusation against me may cause him some legal complication, Greenstein caved in and dropped the ‘Holocaust denier’ accusation. Greenstein presents himself as a Jewish Marxist. I don’t know whether he understands Marxist dialectics, clearly he understands the language of materialism. Once it was down to his pocket, he was very quick to retreat.

Anyhow, such an accusation is very unusual, considering the clear fact that there is not even a single reference to Holocaust denial in any of my writings. I must assume that it is a label that is used by people of the 3rd category as a Zionist-shield. Zionists do insist on preventing any discussion of the topic beyond the standard narrative. Seemingly, the 3rd category Jewish Marxists do operate as a Zionist fig leaf.

Saying that, I must admit that I have many doubts concerning the Zionist Holocaust narrative. Being familiar with many of the discrepancies within the forcefully imposed narrative, being fully familiar with the devastating tale of the extensive collaboration between the Nazis and the Zionists before and throughout the Second World War, I know pretty well that the official Holocaust narrative is there to conceal rather than to reveal any truth. But it isn’t only a historical matter. It is evident that the Holocaust raises an ethical question. Considering the scale of the post Holocaust Jewish trauma we must question how is it that people who suffered so much (Jews) can inflict so much pain on other people (Palestinians).

I may even take it one step further. Since the Palestinians are the last victims of Hitler, we aren’t able to isolate the Holocaust narrative from the Palestinian cause. The natives of Palestine bear the consequences of the Jewish disastrous history. However, I really want to believe that Palestinians will be liberated before the Holocaust narrative drifts and settles as a reasonable historical account. Clearly we aren’t there at the moment.

Atzmon the Holocaust Denier Apologist – Roland Rance, another proper 3rd category Jewish Marxist came with a novel solution. Rather than calling me a ‘Holocaust denier’, which is a little sticky legally, he went for the mild version, ‘a holocaust denier apologist’.

My Comment: For those who didn’t read my latest book, it is in fact all about Roland Rance and his crypto Zionist brothers. Some Jews cannot live without Hitler. This applies mainly to the left Jews. While the right wing Zionist decided to live by their sword, the modern Jewish leftist, the one who abandoned God, the one who saw the fall of Stalinist Moscow, is searching for essentiality. For Rance, Greenstein, Elf and others, the Holocaust is the new Jewish religion. For a while I have been asking myself whether they are going to drop the Chicken soup out of their diet and adopt some alternative gulag’s dishes instead. As we know, Jewish cuisine bears some significant historic symbolism. The ‘maza’ is a reminder of the endless march in the desert, the ‘fish head’ is there to encourage some supremacist thinking (‘we shall all be in the head rather than in the tail’), the ‘falafel’ stands for the colonization of Palestine, etc.

Atzmon the non-racist Anti-Semite – I’ve come across this bizarre label lately.

My comment: This is basically a contradiction in terms (a non-racist racist). I thought that this contradictory title should be presented just to prove that the Zionist’s smear world goes far beyond any recognized logical pattern. In the Zionist world ‘A and no A’ is a valid possibility.

Atzmon the Communist – While the 3rd category Jewish Marxists accuse me of being a right wing racist, their right wingbrothers refer to me as ‘the red communist’.

My Comment: Although I am sympathetic to Marxist ideology, I argue that material and colonial discourse is far too limited to enlighten the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I am searching for answers in other places rather than mere working class politics.

Atzmon, Proponent of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion – I am occasionally accused by right and left Jews for counting on the old Tsarist forgery.

My comment: In fact it is the other way around. I argue that the Protocols are completely irrelevant. Zionist lobbies all over the world are manifestly engaged in global politics and international murderous tactics. It isn’t solely the Palestinians who are victims of Zionist logic. All throughout its history, Zionism was supporting the most malicious Colonial Forces. This is the essence of political Zionism, i.e. whatever is good for the Jews is good.

Atzmon the Endorser of the Burning of Synagogues – I was accused of suggesting at the London School of Oriental and African Studies that burning synagogues is a rational act.

My comment: If there was any truth in such an accusation, I would be sitting behind bars for inciting a racial crime. Needless to say, I wasn’t even approached by the Metropolitan Police. Anyhow, the following is my comment to the Observer about the event:

‘By no means did I justify any form of violence against Jews, Jewish interests or any innocent people. In the School of Oriental and African Studies we were debating the question of rationality of anti-semitism. I claimed that since Israel presents itself as the ‘state of the Jewish people’, and bearing in mind the atrocities committed by the Jewish state against the Palestinians, any form of anti-Jewish activity may be seen as political retaliation. Atzmon the Propagator of the Myth of Jews being Christ killers.

My comment: Jews being Christ killers isn’t a myth. It is rather a historical and a theological narrative. Whether it is true or not isn’t my concern. However, I do question the similarities between the ‘Passion of Christ’ and the passion of the Palestinian people. I do question as well how come Jews feel offended when associated with a crime committed by their ancestors two thousand years ago. I question the repeated Jewish tendency to crucify their messengers. They did it to Christ, to Spinoza, to Chomsky, these days to Finkelstein and Shamir. There is a well maintained Jewish web site dedicated to ‘those who hate themselves’ and must be nailed to the wood. Pay them a visit and judge for yourself.

In a very small segregated cyber shtetl somewhere in the north west side of yahoo(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/justpeaceuk/ ), a tiny cell of so-called ‘liberal’ Jews meets in the wee small hours. Night after night they are trying to save the Palestinian people from those who devote their lives to the Palestinian cause. There is one man who they really detest, his name is Israel Shamir. An ex Jew, Shamir is a very civil and peaceful man and probably is the sharpest critical voice of ‘Jewish power’ and Zionist ideology.
Among Israel Shamir’s many sins, he is a member in the Board of Advisors of DYR (Deir Yassin Remembered, an organisation founded with the purpose of commemorating the victims of the Deir Yassin massacre). DYR is engaged in promoting reconciliation between Arabs and Jews. The liberal Zionist cell, as we are going to read, cannot really take it. They demand the cleansing of Shamir. They insist upon ruining his intellectual career or at the very least, his reputation. They would use any possible manipulative strategy to have him thrown out of DYR, which is the first step towards sending him beyond the pale.

The extracts reveal a horrifying image of modern Jewish secular intolerance. It is a glimpse into the abusive, assertive and violent world of Zionist lobbying. We shall start with what is the authentic voice of the Marxist Tony Greenstein. Greenstein suggests that “anti-Zionist Jews, maybe under the banner of Return or JAZ, should sign an open letter to the PLO/PSC etc. insisting that they categorically repudiate Shamir and all his works and calling on Deir Yassin Remembered to break its links. What is important is that those Jews who sign are seen, without any qualification or equivocation, to be opposed to Zionism root and branch AND opposed to Shamir”. Reading those lines by Greenstein, I wonder whether I am allowed to guess that ‘anti-Zionist Jews’ are basically a bunch of ‘Just Peace UK’ (a left Zionist group). If this is the case we should never take JAZ seriously again. If this is the case, Jews Against Zionism are operating as undercover Zionist agents. If true, and I still suspect it, it is very disappointing but not really surprising.
Orna Neumann doesn’t like Shamir either, but unlike Greenstein who pleas for the help of his brothers, Neumann expects the Arab world to fight her Zionist wars. Neumann stresses that they (the cyber shtetl Just Peace UK) should “ask the Arab Media Watch and Affif and the PSC (Palestinian Solidarity Campaign) to denounce him (Shamir)”. (Orna Neumann)

I may get it wrong here but when she mentions ‘Afiff’ she is probably referring to none other than Afiff Safieh, the Palestinian Ambassador to the UK. The fact that Neumann uses informal language calling Ambassador Safieh by his first name is in itself slightly unusual. Is Ambassador Safieh her close friend? Is he an active member in this Liberal Zionist cell? I am sure he isn’t. For those who don’t know, Afiff Safieh is the supreme Palestinian diplomatic representative to the UK. It seems as if Elder Neumann is trying to portray an image as if some informal trading is possible with the ambassador. As if the ambassador is a Zionist collaborator. Having had the honour of watching Ambassador Safieh speak on behalf of the Palestinian people, having seen him and his wife sitting in front row seats at the DYR event. I am pretty confident that Neumann was searching for support in the very wrong place.
Roland Rance, a revolutionary socialist and an alleged devoted peace lover isn’t far better. Like Neumann, Rance refers to the ambassador, applying similar informal language, but then, unlike Neumann, Rance doesn’t ask Ambassador Safieh to intervene, he gives him orders. See for yourself:

Sometimes I ask myself what Rance and his elder friends mean when they say ‘progressive political strategy’, Surely they mean silencing the voices of their political and ideological foes. I find myself wondering what is so progressive about silencing other people?
Apparently, some of the cell member are slightly more intellectually developed than others. For instance, Stephen Marks, is no doubt a strategically concerned one:
”I think” he maintains, that “the approach should come from a broad range of people, so Shamir cannot muddy the waters by claiming it is ‘the jews’ who are after him. The fact is that the zionists have been ‘crying wolf’ over anti semitism for so long that some people who have not read his material will be vulnerable to the argument that attacks on him are simply a reprise of the old Zionist chorus”. Marks confesses here that Shamir is an internal Jewish problem but he insists upon finding a way to present Shamir as a threat to the world. But let us confront some facts here. It is the ‘liberal’ Jews who attack Shamir. Admittedly those left Jews are quoting two Palestinian writers (Ali Abunimah and Hussein Ibish) who denounced Shamir a while ago and yet I have never come across an orchestrated Palestinian campaign against Shamir.

If anything, it is the other way around. Shamir is repeatedly praised by Palestinians and many of their supporters. From time to time you may come across an eloquent critique of Shamir’s ideas. At other times, he is considered as an opinionist and treated as such. If anything, it proves beyond doubt that the Palestinian solidarity campaign expands and becomes more and more colourful. This is probably something that we miss in the protocols of the Elders of London. When I was collecting these extracts I found out that not ‘many’ Palestinians are engaged in any dialogue within their cyber shtetl. If to be accurate, as a matter of fact I didn’t find a single Arab that might hypothetically save their honour.

G-D Save the Queen

Ladies and gentleman, I assume that by now you are ready to meet the queen of the shtetl, Lady Deborah Maccoby. As we are going to see, Queen Maccoby is concerned not only with the Palestinians, in fact she tries to save the Christian world from regression. At the end of the day, to be a Shtetl Queen is a great responsibility.

Being myself an active participant at the DYR event I cannot recall any ‘anti Semitic regressive Christian ideas’. But if to be honest, I do not know what ‘Christian regressive ideas’ are. Does Maccoby refer here to the old accusation of Jews being Christ’s killers? Maybe, but then, surely she should know that it has nothing to do with regressive Christianity; it is rather a historical narrative. However, in the DYR event no one blamed the Jews for killing Christ. If anything, it was the Zionists who were blamed for cleansing the Palestinian people as well as ‘killing them’. But may I stress at this point that Maccoby’s suggestion is in itself an outrageous insult to Christianity and Christian people. She really wants us to believe that Christianity is a shaky and fragile spiritual compound of dark beliefs, she wants us to think that it is she and her disciples who can save the Church from regression.
But we are not finished yet, it isn’t only Christianity that must be saved, it is the foul Goyim who need saviours. Please show your respect to the ‘gentile soul expert’ Brian Robinson. Following the great tradition of Jewish analysts, Brian enlightens his fellows with some deep insights into the gentile psyche.

Funnily enough, Robinson is right, you can never win, you can only lose.
As one might guess, so far the battle against Shamir is far from being a great success, DYR’s Board of directors ignored the outrageous demand to spit Shamir out. And so did the Palestinian Ambassador and all the other respectable supporters of the Palestinian struggle. The DYR event was an astonishing spiritual gathering. Many Palestinians performed and many others attended.
Amongst the audience and the performers you could find people from every religious group, class and ethnic origin. The Palestinian Ambassador honoured the event while sitting in the first row. Everyone was there except Deborah Maccoby and her clan of liberal Zionists.
Facing the apocalyptic aspects of the ensuing catastrophe, Orna Neumann is already getting ready for the worst case scenario:
“Has anyone seen his publication the flowers of the Galillee (Shamir’s book)?” she asks and then continues, “Hitler also started from words….”. For Neumann Shamir is the new Hitler, he is no longer just an ordinary anti Semite. He is now just about to liquidate the entire Jewish people. Ask yourself why? Like Hitler, Shamir wrote a book. Undoubtedly, she puts her very strong logical skills to the service of the cause; let me tell you, dear Neumann, not only did he write a book (more than one), he has a small moustache.

Confronting a clear defeat, Queen Maccoby and Goyim-expert Robinson have realised that the smear campaign was found to be counter effective; they have decided to go under.

Zionist okays expansion of 2,000 settler homes

Jerusalem’s municipal council on Sunday approved the expansion of 2,000 homes in the settlement district of Ramat Shlomo, allowing each home to add a room, the interior ministry said.

“Jerusalem’s planning and urbanisation committee on Sunday authorised the enlargement of 2,000 homes in the neighbourhood of Ramat Shlomo,” it said in a statement.

“An additional room will be built in each of these 2,000 homes in response to the needs of the numerous families suffering from housing problems in this area,” it added.

The Ramat Shlomo neighbourhood lies in an area of Arab east Jerusalem, which Israel captured during the 1967 Six Day War and later annexed in a move not recognised by the international community.

Israel considers Jerusalem to be its undivided capital, but the Palestinians, with the support of much of the international community, want to make east Jerusalem the capital of their future state.

Israel’s construction or expansion of homes in the area has drawn criticism from European capitals and Washington in the past, and settlement building in Ramat Shlomo led to a crisis in relations with the United States last year.

In March 2010, Israel announced approval for the construction of 1,600 homes in the settlement neighbourhood just as US Vice President Joe Biden visited the Jewish state for meetings with Israeli officials.

The announcement angered Biden, and prompted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to offer an apology for the “unfortunate timing.”

That announcement came as US officials laid the groundwork for the resumption of direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians, the first in nearly two years.

The talks were launched later that year in Washington, but ground to a halt shortly after they started when Israel declined to renew a moratorium that froze settlement construction in the West Bank, though not in Jerusalem.

The Palestinians have refused to hold talks while Israel builds on land they want for their future state, and negotiations have remained on hold since late September 2010 because of the issue.

NATO Admits Killing Civilians in Tripoli Attack

Claims ‘Weapons System Failure’ in Attack Which Killed Toddlers

NATO has admitted a missile strike hit a civilian home in the Libyan capital of Tripoli today, killing a number of civilians including at least two toddlers. Though far from the first strike to kill civilians in the Libyan War, it is the first that NATO officials have admitted to.
NATO said the attack was targeting a missile site but instead hit a house full of civilians, saying they “regret the loss of innocent civilian lives” but that NATO has gone out of its way to avoid civilian casualties in the war.
The East Libyan rebels were quick to shrug off the attack, however, saying that they “hold the Gadhafi regime responsible” for the deaths even though it was an errant NATO strike that actually killed the people.
US and French forces began attacking Libya on March 19, ostensibly based on a UN resolution calling for them to “protect civilians” with a no fly zone. Though officials have argued this extended to allowing the continuing air war, it will be difficult to defend the growing number of civilian killings by the NATO forces themselves.
