It’s not just a dark day for Japan or for the United States. It’s a dark day for the entire world because right now the entire world finds itself standing on the precipice of possible world war as a result of what the United States working in collusion with the Zionist interests are doing in the Middle East, vis-à-vis Iran and other countries that refuse to go the way of the new world order.”
Press TV has conducted an interview with Mark Glenn, author and journalist from Idaho, to further discuss the issue. The following is a rough transcription of the interview.
Press TV: A dark day in the history of Japan, but surely for the United States too, as being the only country to ever use nuclear arms against a populous. What does this day mean?
Glenn: It’s not just a dark day for Japan or for the United States. It’s a dark day for the entire world because right now the entire world finds itself standing on the precipice of possible world war as a result of what the United States working in collusion with the Zionist interests are doing in the Middle East, vis-à-vis Iran and other countries that refuse to go the way of the new world order.
On one sense, it has deep historical significance in the fact that half a million people were killed as a result of two nuclear weapons being dropped on a country that was basically defeated in the waning days of World War II
At the same time, the hypocrisy of all this is apparent in a sense that the United States, again, working in collusion with Israel is pointing her fingers at other countries and telling them that they may not pursue the peaceful use of nuclear energy, namely your own country of Iran.
Press TV: When we’ve seen the level of destruction and chaos that nuclear arms and WMDs cause, how come there isn’t a more rapid push on the international front for nuclear disarmament?
Glenn: Because at least when we’re talking about the Western world, we’re talking about a world that is living in a type of prison, of sorts.
The Western world is not going to risk the wrath of the United States or Israel by coming out and basically calling for nuclear disarmament when their powerbase resides in appeasing the United States and appeasing these international Zionist lobbies that hold so much political, economic and social sway in their country.
How can they come out and protest against and call for the abolishment of nuclear weapons, depleted uranium and these other types of weapons when they’re being used everyday in places such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Gaza, Southern Lebanon and places such as these?
It really is a glaring situation that the entire world is facing right now when you have criminals basically pointing their fingers and lecturing to other peaceful non-criminal countries such as Iran, telling them what they can and cannot do when the history has proven that these other countries, namely the West and namely America, is engaged in the very same kinds of murderous behavior that they’re now accusing the Iranians of one thing to do.
