The BBC’s Jeremy Clarkson has lied about about the occupation of Palestine on the Christmas edition of Top Gear. The show set a challenge to the three presenters to travel from Iraq to Bethlehem. During the show, Jeremy Clarkson refers to The West Bank as “disputed”. A blatant lie. The West Bank is illegally occupied by Israel, a fact even recognised by the craven United Nations and the subject of UN resolutions.
This isn’t the first time of course that the BBC has lied about Palestine. MPACUK took on the BBC when a sports journalist referred to Jerusalem as the “capital of Israel” which of course it isn’t because under international law Jerusalem has the status of ‘Corpus Seperatum’ and Israel has no right to make such arbitrary declarations.
Only by stopping such lies can the Palestinians hope to get any justice.
