Iran Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan has dismissed US and Israeli threats against Iran as mere “jokes.”

“The threats by the US and the Zionist regime (of Israel) against the Islamic Republic of Iran are jokes; do not take them very seriously,” Dehghan told reporters on Friday.
The US has repeatedly threatened to take military action against Iran, stating that “all options are on the table” over the country’s nuclear energy program, which Washington falsely accuses of having military dimensions.
Israel has also threatened unilateral military action against Iran to dismantle Iran’s civilian nuclear facilities over the same pretext.
Iran categorically rejects the allegation, arguing that as a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, it has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
This is while Israel is the sole possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle East, with 200-400 nuclear warheads.
