UK must work with Assad to fight ISIL: Ex-general
Syrian tribal chiefs on election day…Jim W. Dean
[ Editors Note: Pray that his could grow into a bridge to begin stopping the stupid war on Syria that has been a disaster for all involved except for those running the proxy terror orgs in large formations.
Yes, I wish these people like the general would say something about going after those in government and the think tanks for using terrorists in destabilization projects…but we take what they give us and build on that.
The opening for us here is two fold, to not get sucked up into the anti-ISIS Jihad the spinmeisters will crank up now.
We have to launch a dual effort to go after anyone claiming to be going after ISIS who does not show any interest in going after the Western and Gulf countries that have funded them, and as I type are giving them logistics support. They should hear from us that we know they are still running a smokescreen for the real terrorists to hide behind.
They don’t think we are smart enough or have the pushback stamina to get that into their faces, and maybe they are right. But if we want people on the sidelines to get in the fight we have to show them how to do it by leading by example… Jim W. Dean ]

UK’s former army chief, Richard Dannatt, says Britain must cooperate with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to combat the ISIL Takfiri group.
Dannatt, Britain’s former chief of general staff, said on Friday that a conversation had to be held with Assad regarding fighting the terrorist group.
“I think whether it is above the counter or below the counter, a conversation has got to be held with [Assad] because, if there is any question of airstrikes over Syria, it has got to be with…Assad’s…approval,” said Dannatt.
The appeal comes as Britain is openly supporting militant groups in Syria to help topple the Syrian president’s government.
Dannatt also said the “time will come” when Prime Minister David Cameron’s government decides that British military planes should conduct airstrikes against the terrorist group.
“I think the time will come when we will decide that our Tornado jets operating in the region won’t just take photographs and produce intelligence,” said Dannatt.
The former army chief, furthermore, said more British special forces may be needed to be deployed to Iraq to train Kurdish troops, who are fighting the ISIL militants.
Dannatt’s comments came a day after US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey said the ISIL militants cannot be defeated unless the US or its allies attack them in Syria. The US military has conducted numerous airstrikes against the ISIL militants in Iraq since President Barack Obama authorized the bombings earlier this month.
The ISIL terrorists currently control parts of Syria and Iraq’s northern and western regions, where they have been committing heinous crimes, including the mass execution of civilians and Iraqi security forces.
