The Nigerian youth Mustafa AbuBaker was shot dead 3 days ago by Nigerian police while taking part in the International Quds Day rally in Kaduna province. The Nigerian police opened fire at participants in the Palestine solidarity rally killing Mustafa and wounding many others.
Mustafa was buried in Nigeria yesterday wrapped with a Palestinian flag and surrounded by the tears of his loved ones. Maybe no one has heard of him yet, but we must make sure that he won’t be forgotten. His blood and Palestinian blood shed at terrorist Israeli hands is one.
These people are oppressed and impoverished, yet they never hesititate to sacrifice more to stand with Palestine. They come out to the streets in solidarity at every Palestinian occasion and on each Quds Day knowing too well that the police will have no mercy on them; that their demonstration will be suppressed and shot at. Still, they rally, and they sacrifice. This is not the first time Nigerians are murdered by Nigerian police during the Quds Day demonstration.
