NOVANEWS
by Fatima Awad
In the beginning of the 20th Century the evil plans for the takeover of the blessed land of Palestine were underway. Zionists created World War 1 and World War 2 and the Jewish holocaust. They then created the League of Nations in order to make it look like there was international support for the fake hate state imperialist entity used by the UN to control the Middle East given the name Israel unjustly. The gradual takeover of parts of Palestine began before 1948. The official displacement and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and the declaration of ‘Israel’ took place on May 15, 1948. Where were Palestinians displaced? The whole World. The Nakba marked the Palestinian diaspora. What had once happened to Jews was now happening to Palestinians. They are in now in every corner of the globe. And so, their catastrophe is a World catastrophe.
Palestinians didn’t just carry the clothes on their back wherever they went. They brought with them a sense of rage, betrayal, a feeling that wherever they went they were not home, and a constant, unrelenting longing to return home. They resented the places they went to because they knew that some of these places had voted for the creation of Israel in the UN. Palestinians however contributed greatly to the societies they were forced to be a part of. They gave people their intelligence, talents, and donated the remnants of their down to Earth culture. they shared their food and their dabka. But perhaps the no.1 thing that benefitted the nations of the World the most from having Palestinians in their midst was having people who could convey a message of truth, justice and peace and awaken the conscience of all people to start global intifadas, uprisings, to loosen the grip of elitists who are mostly Zionists all over the World.
The mayhem, the injustice, the oppression, the suffering, the blatant racism, the inequality in our World today, it is a economic, social, educational, moral, religious, catastrophe. When Palestinians left Palestine they didn’t just leave behind the land, their way of life was shattered and partly erased from the Earth. Luckily though, many Palestinians managed to hold on to it. They practiced their ideals and taught them to the people they encountered. Ideals that are found in every culture, the shared practices that make us human like making time for each other, enjoying good food, valuing the important things in life, family, friendship, children. Palestinians have always had a sense of identity that is tied to history.
The Nakba taught them the lesson of change, that change is necessary for advancement. If they can change the whole World can change. Another lesson that they were taught is that there is no peace without justice. And so for there to be Peace on Earth, the Palestinian must get his/her piece of Earth back, the piece that was wrongfully stolen from them. The Return to Palestine for refugees and their descendants represents the justice that is needed for there to be Peace on Earth.
