Telling The Goyim How To Talk About ‘Israel’

That’s pretty much what the whole Plame/Giraldi brouhaha is all about.

1. Bret Stephens is in such a tizzy it is actually almost enjoyable. Going after Plame and Giraldi this week he attacks damn near everyone else too that he has a problem with. He has problems with an awful lot of people.

“I believe the thesis of “The Israel Lobby,” the 2007 book by Stephen Walt and John Mearsheimer, is a sound one. The idea that a small group of (largely) Jewish-Americans manipulates Congress, the media and other levers of power and influence for the benefit of a malign Jewish state has no connection to previous anti-Semitic conspiracy theories alleging the same thing.”

Of course he does not believe this, he is implying, if not outright saying, that Walt and Mearsheimer are anti-Semites for documenting the obvious. I remember well being told by one of my US senators to my face that the power of the Israeli lobby in Congress is overwhelming, but I digress.

“I believe Valerie Plame, the former C.I.A. operative and fading liberal celebrity, when she says she missed the anti-Semitic “undercurrents” in an article she called “provocative, but thoughtful.” I believe her when she says she “zeroed in on the neocon criticism” but missed the article’s more prejudicial elements.”

Yes, and we here at Mantiq al-Tayr believe that neocon zionists want what’s best for America and the world.

“The article was titled “America’s Jews Are Driving America’s Wars.” It uses variants of the word “Jew” 22 times. The word “neocons” appears only twice. I believe Plame is telling the truth when she says the subtlety was lost on her.”

2. Back in April of 2003 – don’t you miss the good old days when wars for Israel were still fresh? But I digress. Anyway, as I was saying, back in April of 2003 Haaretz published an article entitled “White Man’s Burden.” The article opens with the following sentence.

“The war in Iraq was conceived by 25 neoconservative intellectuals, most of them Jewish, who are pushing President Bush to change the course of history.” 

Okay, I can hear you all saying “Mantiq, wtf does this mean?”

It means, ladies and gentlemen, that Phil Giraldi had to be fired from The American Conservative and demonized by exactly the same people he named in his now famous article entitled “America’s Jews Are Driving America’s Wars.”  In the article he gets very specific and of course does not say that all Jews do this. He goes after the neocon cockroaches that infest the corridors of power in the US and who put Israel’s interests ahead of those of the US as casually as Trump talks trash about women.

The uproar this is causing is, well, informative.

He had the audacity to say that these neocons are usually Jews and that such people should recuse themselves from, among other things, getting the US into all sorts of shitty wars that do not benefit the United States. For his efforts he has been vilified by exactly the same people he was calling out. What a surprise.  The American Conservative should be ashamed.

It’s really too bad Phil doesn’t have a book out right now, because he has gotten so much negative publicity that he’d probably make the Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post best seller list. But once again, I digress.

Here’s one of the really awful things he noted:

“One might also add that neocons as a group were founded by Jews and are largely Jewish, hence their universal attachment to the state of Israel. They first rose into prominence when they obtained a number of national security positions during the Reagan Administration and their ascendancy was completed when they staffed senior positions in the Pentagon and White House under George W. Bush. Recall for a moment Paul Wolfowitz, Doug Feith, and Scooter Libby. Yes, all Jewish and all conduits for the false information that led to a war that has spread and effectively destroyed much of the Middle East. Except for Israel, of course. Philip Zelikow, also Jewish, in a moment of candor, admitted that the Iraq War, in his opinion, was fought for Israel.”

Let me digress for a moment. You might recall that Zelikow was executive director of the commission that looked into 9/11.

And it might even be true that when Zelikow was made executive director of that commission no one knew that he had been:

“the author of a very important document issued by the White House in September 2002 that really turned military doctrine on it’s head and said that the United States could become involved in preemptive war, preemptive defense.That we could attack a nation that didn’t pose an immediate military threat to this country. And obviously in September of 2002 it sure appeared that that document was being written with one target in mind: Iraq.”

Isn’t that pretty fucking interesting? All the tuyuur here at Mantiq al-Tayr thought so too.

Let me summarize this for all the brain-dead Jerusalem Washington New York Times Post readers.  The very guy who said out loud that the Iraq war was fought for Israel is the guy who drafted a White House document justifying preemptive war and of which Iraq was the target.

But it gets worse, with Zionism it always does.

End of digression.

One of the Israeli PR specialists Giraldi named was Bret Stephens whose pro-Israel resume is longer than long dong silver’s (fake) dong.

Among Stephen’s accomplishments was heading the Jerusalem Post back in 2002. As this largely fawning article notes:

“He began his career at The Wall Street Journal, but moved to Israel at age 28 to become editor-in-chief of The Jerusalem Post in 2002 during a tumultuous time. He led the Post through the worst years of the second intifada, pointed it in a neoconservative direction . . .”

This article points out that he left that position to come to back to the US in order to advocate for Israel.

“One of the reasons I left The Wall Street Journal for the Post was because I felt the Western media was getting the story wrong,” Stephens said. “I do not think Israel is the aggressor here. Insofar as getting the story right helps Israel, I guess you could say I’m trying to help Israel.”

So that’s his job – advocating for Israel. Keep that in mind whenever you read him or even worse, hear him.

Also, keep this in mind: for Stephens, anti-Zionism and anti-semitism are synonyms

as he says here:

Stephens: We should remember that anti-Semitism is a mutating virus that changes forms to suit the times. The hatred of Jews based on religious reasons became anti-Semitism based on racial reasons, which in our day has become anti-Zionism based on national reasons. But each of them are expressions of the same hatred.

This is complete, total, unadulterated, Zionist Bullshit and it is designed to prevent Americans from understanding a key ingredient regarding “Why America acts so goddamn crazy.” If you happen to notice what the fuck is going on and point it out to others, you are subject to attacks which among other things point to the accuracy of your thesis.

Do you want war with Iran? Giraldi doesn’t either and he is aware that the US war machine isn’t just composed of neocons in government and the media, though he does not list all of the culprits here.

“To be sure, the urging to strike Iran comes from many quarters, to include generals in the Administration who always think first in terms of settling problems through force, from a Saudi government obsessed with fear over Iranian hegemony, and, of course, from Israel itself.”

He then writes:

“But what makes the war engine run is provided by American Jews who have taken upon themselves the onerous task of starting a war with a country that does not conceivably threaten the United States. They have been very successful at faking the Iranian threat, so much so that nearly all Republican and most Democratic congressmen as well as much of the media seem to be convinced that Iran needs to be dealt with firmly, most definitely by using the U.S. military, and the sooner the better.”

Stephens likes the idea of bombing Iran. And I guess to prove his point that it isn’t just neocon Jews who push for this, he did he did a masterful job convincing a bunch of  zionist Christian morons to work to undermine the nuclear deal with Iran, a deal which he wanted killed. The outfit is John Hagee’s “Christians United For Israel” and Stephens spoke candidly with them as he most likely didn’t think his comments would see the light of day. However, Glenn Greeenwald published the entire content of Stephens conference call with CUFI which I just realized is IFUC spelled backwards.

The single most amazing thing about Stephens’ discussion with the CUFI folks was the utter obsequiousness of the CUFI board members when they spoke to Stephens and his awareness that he was in complete control. He was telling the goyim what Israel wanted them to think about Iran and they just sucked it up. It’s worth listening to for that reason alone.

As Greenwald notes in the article – and he is speaking strictly about neocons:

“They want to keep Iran isolated and demonized and ultimately to depose its leadership through war or other means of aggression. They hate the Iran deal precisely because it’s likely to avert that aggression and normalize the world’s relations with that country, making the war they’ve long craved much less likely.”

Amen, brother, Amen.

3. I’ll close with this:

Eli Clifton wrote this report about Bret Stephens speaking at a Tikvah Fund gathering, Stephens had this to say about many of his fellow Jews:

Thank God I was born a Jew because otherwise I’d be a raging anti-Semite… [be]cause I tear my hair out all the time at my fellow Jews. But rare is it in history that we’ve been blessed to live in a country where we can say anything we want and actually get away with it. And it is a scandal, it seems to me, if we fail to live up to the promise of our American citizenship to do all we can to assure the survival of the Jewish state and the Jewish people.

Clifton’s comments on the above comment are worth taking a look at.
