[ Editor’s Note: This story caught me completely by surprise, first because it was not Bibi making the statement. So what’s up wid dat? Is Minister Katz looking to run for prime minister in the fall?
Surprise number two was the admission below that Bibi’s team has come under ‘blistering criticism’ from Israeli officials over the outcome of what they call a war, a silly term when you have a full professional army using modern weaponry to deal with what is actually a large prison riot.
We owe Shakespeare for his classic line that has lasted throughout the ages, “Me thinks she doth protest too much”, one that I have used over an over. That said, there is a segment of the Israelis who love to guilt trip everybody else.
The professional intelligence community watched how Bibi orchestrated the upheaval in East Jerusalem and the Temple Mount crackdowns during the Ramadan holy month, that does not take a genus to realize the Palestinians would of course resist, and hence the Israeli extremists to escalate with a bombing campaign on Gaza.
The Bennett-Lapid coalition government that was in the final negotiations of it formation was shot out of the saddle. This politically contrived ‘war’ bought Bibi more time to try to stop his prosecution, with new elections now scheduled for the fall.
In the US we are making progress toward putting the Trump criminal regime in jail for is numerous and treasonus crimes. Israelis need to take a lesson from what we are doing so they are not played for fools by their own political sociopaths.

The Israeli regime’s finance minister and senior member of the right-wing Likud party, Israel Katz, has threatened to assassinate Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, after the resistance figure made a public appearance in a rally in Gaza to celebrate the triumph in a 12-day Israeli war.
Rattled by the defeat inflicted by the Palestinian resistance movement, Katz, who is also a close ally of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said brazenly in an interview to Israeli media that the regime “will come for Yahya Sinwar’s head” if there is a “slightest breach” of the ceasefire between the two sides.
Katz said Sinwar had not been given immunity from Israeli assassination as part of the ceasefire deal. He demanded the return of the bodies of Israeli troops Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul and captives Avera Mengistu and Hisham a-Sayed, who he claimed were being held by Hamas.
Katz also claimed that the Israeli regime had dealt heavy blows to Hamas in the Gaza Strip and urged his party officials to “show appreciation” to the military leadership.
This is while the Tel Aviv regime has come under blistering criticism from Israeli officials themselves for the military embarrassment in the war on Gaza.
Katz also praised the role of Israeli troops in cracking down on Palestinians in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and at the al-Aqsa Mosque.
At least 248 Palestinians were killed in the Israeli regime’s military strikes on the besieged Gaza strip before Tel Aviv was forced to cease fire.
The latest escalation was triggered earlier this month by the Israeli regime forces who forced Palestinian families to vacate their homes in Sheikh Jarrah, followed by a violent onslaught on worshipers at the sacred al-Aqsa Mosque.
Gaza-based Hamas then retaliated those acts of aggression, and the occupying regime started conducting strikes against civilian areas in the besieged territory, including high-rise buildings housing residential apartments and media offices.
The regime’s atrocities drew anger and outrage across the world, with massive rallies organized to condemn the aggression. Hamas, meanwhile, has attributed its victory in the 12-day war to Iranian help and assistance.
