Students Share Their Experience at The Right to Education Conference: July 27-28

Here is a message sent to us from our Gaza Student Coordinator, Abdullah Riyah El-Khoudary soon after he and other students were denied permits to travel to the West Bank. He and fellow students in Gaza overcame odds and joined the Right to Education conference via Video Conferencing and Skype:

“Greetings from Gaza. I wish that you are good and doing well! So sorry that we didn’t get the permission to cross to the West Bank. You know, this is the Israeli treatment. I was so sad when I was told that the permission to cross would not be given to us! Anan called me and asked me that to arrange a video conference in Gaza with Birzeit, and I did my best even though there was just one day before the conference. And I succeeded! In just one day — it was something like a miracle. We got a hall in Gaza University and I provided a lunch for the students…” Read the rest of Abdullah’s message here and visit the blog of West Bank student, Arabiat, to read her feedback after attending the Right to Education Conference.
