Watch: Only Israeli lives matter to the British media
Dr Husam Zomlot, Head of the Palestinian Mission to the United Kingdom, writes:
On the background of yesterday’s [23 November] events in Jerusalem: I asked the [Channel 4 News] presenter [Krishnan Guru-Murthy]: Why do you hurry to invite us for interviews when there are dead and wounded Israelis, when you didn’t invite us during the past days when the [Israeli] occupation army killed 11 Palestinians, including five children?
The international media’s distorting of the 75-year Palestinian struggle is a major part of the problem. The solution starts with full application of international law, including the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to resist occupation, colonialism and racism.
