A 3000 personnel strong “elite cyberwarfare unit” is believed to be implored by North Korea as the South has reported over $805m in losses from such attacks over recent years.

Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (INTELLIHUB) — Make no mistake, Kim Jon-Un has seen the benefit in modern technology and is putting it to use. A massive network of spies along with hackers and computer specialist allegedly have been causing problems for the South, in an attempt to intimidate and one day possible make a move on the weakened nation.
The dictator Jong-Un also has been experimenting with electromagnetic pulse weaponry according to a report by the Sydney Morning Herald. An excerpt from the article reads, “North Korea is using Russian technology to develop electromagnetic pulse weapons aimed at paralyzing military electronic equipment south of the border, according to South Korea’s spy agency.
The National Intelligence Service (NIS) said in a report to parliament that the North had purchased Russian electromagnetic pulse (EMP) weaponry to develop its own versions.
EMP weapons are used to damage electronic equipment. At higher energy levels, an EMP can cause more widespread damage including to aircraft structures and other objects.”[1]
The report also pointed out that the North has been actively seeking information through “hacked smartphones” from informants in the south. Places of interest and first strike points have likely already been identified.
A recent revelation has also come forth also leading officials to believe that the North may be capable of reaching the continental United States (CONUS) with a ballistic missile as it’s been reported that, “ICBM mock-ups seen at recent military parades in Pyongyang were “less fake” than originally believed.”[2]
