A photo advertisement of a Japanese car in Israel seems to be promoting the running over of innocent Palestinian children.The commercial advertisement, published by a Subaru dealership in Israel, features the scene photographed last year, when an Israeli settler struck two Palestinian children with his car in the East al-Quds (Jerusalem) neighbourhood of Silwan before speeding away.
“We’ll see who can stand against you,” reads the Hebrew line in the right corner of the picture.
“It is not clear whether this is a genuine advertisement or whether someone is making use of the Subaru logo,” a Palestinian government statement said. Nevertheless, they said they had written to Subaru, urging them to take action against this “horrible use of a picture.”
We would not be surprised if the advertisement were real. After all, Israel constantly proves itself to be a murdurous state, dehumanising the Palestinians to little more than animals.
So far Subaru does not seem to have commented though Japan Auto say they have no idea who is behind the ad.
