NOVANEWS

by Mahmoud El-Yousseph
Dear Mr. Santa,
I do not celebrate Christmas for reasons I explained in a published letter addressed to you four years ago this month. Nevertheless, I thought to write you again to tell you that gifts does not replace happiness or health, but they go a long way to bringing joy to others. So, if I were to make a wish list this year, some of the things I wanted years ago, and did not get would still top my list this year. Here goes:
1- I wish all of my loved ones are safe, healthy and happy.
2- That justice be served to the victims, survivors and family members of the USS Liberty.
3- Saudi style punishment for killer/s of school children or teachers.
4- Hamas and Abass to unite and to quit dilly dallying.
5- Help lift the strangling and inhumane siege on Gaza.
6- Free all of prisoners of war, hostages and detainees held without charges.
7- Israeli PM Satanyahoo to face war-crimes tribunal before he kicks the bucket.
8- Prolong the life of Venezuelan president, Hugo Chávez
9- Stop all the senseless and mindless killing and destruction in Syria asap.
10- That Madonna gains weight and Stevie Wonder regains his sight.
11- Sen. Chuck Hagel be confirmed as next U.S. Defense Secretary.
Ho, ho, ho, Jolly man!
