LETTER TO ZIONIST KERRY

NOVANEWS

Secretary of State Mr. John Kerry:
My best Palestinian regards,
Please allow me first to introduce myself; I am Samer Issawi’s mother who’s in open hunger strike since August 1, 2012 aiming to obtain his freedom and return to his hometown Al-Issaweya. Samer is now starting his ninth month of hunger strike; trapped between life and death as stated by the supervising doctors of Kaplan Hospital. Despite his critical situation the previous and current Israeli government is refusing his release and insisting on murdering him unconcerned to all the international interventions and calls to release him. The Israeli government is rejecting all rational calls of the humanitarian conscience and cares less for the Palestinian prisoners’ fate especially those on hunger strikes like Samer Isawi and Younes Hroub who are striking against administrative detention. The Israeli medical negligence policy and the continued torture to Palestinian prisoners were well proven by the martyrdom of Maysara Abu Hamdeia and Arafat Jaradat who died few weeks ago as a result of torture.
Dear Sir,
It’s important to clarify that Samer was released among the Shaleet prisoners’ swap on October 18th 2011, after spending 10 years behind bars. The Israeli occupation is intending to recall his previous 30 years sentence accusing him of violating the conditions of the swap deal by moving back and forth from his hometown Al Isaweya to Ramallah or Al Ram. Samer was detained and interrogated for two months without an equitable trial. The Israeli court issued an eight months sentence against Samer for this violation.
The injustice that my son Samer is subject to; is what forced him to sacrifice his life for his freedom. It’s important to inform your Excellency that we are forbidden to visit our son since the day he started his strike. When we attempted to talk to him in the court room in Jerusalem that happened to take place on the day 142 of his hunger strike, we as well as Samer were attacked by the Israeli Special Forces before the judge and the cameras of the media ignoring that Samer was sitting on a wheel chair.
The Israeli occupation neglect to a human on hunger strike facing death every day is a deliberate crime that increases the insistence of my son Samer to proceed with his strike until death if he had to.
I am approaching you today for your well known humanitarian role in the world, with a great hope that you work on releasing my son Samer and his other colleagues on hunger strike and the ailing prisoners. This is a call of a hurting Palestinian mother through a critical time frame that threatens the life of her son each and every moment. This might be the last call that I cry to the world, to the human rights defenders and democracy activists before my son takes his last breath fighting against injustice, and occupation. Samer is not only fighting for his freedom, but for the freedom of other prisoners, the freedom and the independence of his people.
With my best regards,
Laila Hasan Mohammad
Mother of Samer Issawi
