I don’t know about you all, but I just love it when a plan comes crashing down faster that the Twin Towers. I especially like it when that plan is a giant hoax perpetrated by a religious wacko. I especially like it when it turns out that the plan successfully targeted a bunch of Zionists using their own self-obsessions to con them.

You shall purify every garment, every article of skin, all work of goats’ hair, and every article of wood.”
(Num. 31:17-20). Kind of like Macbeth isn’t it? Just on a genocidal scale and that requires a lot of purification.
But it gets worse, with Zionism . . .
“And if its answer to you is peace and it opens to you, then all the people who are found in it shall do forced labor for you and shall serve you. But if it makes no peace with you, but makes war against you, then you shall besiege it; and when the LORD your God gives it into your hand you shall put all its males to the sword, but the women and the little ones, the cattle, and everything else in the city, all its spoil,you shall take as booty for yourselves; and you shall enjoy the spoil of your enemies, which the LORD your God has given you.”

Now I know this sounds like orders given to imperial troops on how to treat peasants in foreign lands, but it gets even worse, with . . . .
“Thus you shall do to all the cities which are very far from you, which are not cities of the nations here.
“But in the cities of these peoples that the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes, but you shall utterly destroy them, the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Per’izzites, the Hivites and the Jeb’usites, as the LORD your God has commanded; that they may not teach you to do according to all their abominable practices which they have done in the service of their gods, and so to sin against the LORD your God.”

Anyway, these are the books that Judge Colleen McMahon was praising just a few days ago when she sentenced a Rabbinical scumbag to jail for fraud. She was able to sentence him to jail, most likely, because he managed to defraud exactly the wrong people, rich, powerful, well-connected American Jews. One person he defrauded was David M. Rubenstein, a billionaire, and btw, a co-founder of the Carlyle group and thechairman of the Kennedy Center. Mr. Rubenstein hired Michael Berenbaum, once the director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Holocaust Research Institute, to investigate claims that the nutty rabbi had made to Rubenstein when he was bilking him. Berenbaum reported back, “Hey Dave, you’re fucked.” Well, not quite. He just said that he could not substantiate the nutty Rabbi’s claims. He’d been duped.
What Rabbi Menachem Youlus was doing was claiming that he was the Indian Jones of Jews, or something like that, and that he was running all over Europe recovering Holocaust surviving Torah manuscripts which, through a charity set up by Youlus called Save A Torah, he would then sell to unwitting rich Jews or Jewish congregations. Turns out it was all a bunch of bullshit. The issue has been a burning one for a while now on Jewish websites and publications (and I include the Washington Jerusalem New York Times Post in those categories) and finally last week this guy was sentenced to around four years in prison.
Quite some time ago, I did a post about a Shoshana Cardin and her Israel-oriented high school. Well, here is a link to a nice picture of her with Rabbi Menachem Youlus at a ceremony dedicating a Torah he “saved” from the Ukraine. According to the article:
“Cardin’s Torah is one of 200 that were found in the basement of a monastery in Kiev, Ukraine, and rescued by Rabbi Menachem Youlus of Baltimore, head of the Rockville-based Save a Torah foundation, which restores and re-settles hidden, lost or stolen Torahs from around the world.”
Sure it is.
