Violation After Violation!
Israel has now violated Lebanese sovereignty, by sending 14 Israeli warplanes in to their airspace. What was the need for this?
On Tuesday, 2 Israeli warplanes crossed into Lebanese airspace, over the southern border town of Alma al-Shaab and conducted several sorties in the area, according to a statement released by the Lebanese military.
Despite the very minimal demands that the Lebanese laid upon Israel, under UN resolution 1701; Israel has been constantly violating the terms of the ceasefire agreement, that brought to an end the 33-day Israeli war against Lebanon in 2006. So why have they been able to carry on doing this? And why has the UN not held Israel to account for doing so? It can quiet easily be said that if this was any of the Muslim Arab states doing what Isreal is, the repercussions would be a very different story.
The Resolution also calls on the Tel Aviv regime to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, which it does not heed to. Its warplanes violate the Lebanese airspace almost on a daily basis. The Lebanese have been more than tolerant of this clear violation of their sovereignty.
We call upon the ummah to complain to the UN of this and hold Israel to account.
