Egypt: Zionist managers at the Delta Galil textile factory also fled Egypt in the midst of the recent citizen diplomacy against Zio-Nazi embassy there. In fact they fled on the same plane as the diplomats. Under current trilateral trade regulations – the Free-Trade Zones Accord the United States, IsraHell, and Egypt signed in 2005 – Zionist companies (meaning Zionist-American companies) and Egyptian companies that purchase Zionist (meaning Zionist-American) goods get to enter US markets duty-free. The upshot is that the Egyptian working class becomes a half-in half-out part of the American working class, except they work for much lower wages, and their exploitation gets blamed on Zionist and IsraHell capitalists and capitalism (as though there are such things).
More important is that the Egyptian workers who were making their own foreign policy were also making, inadvertently, their own economic policy. Zio-Nazi state is one of two pendants of the planned Middle East Free Trade Area, in which capital will flow freely between Tel Aviv and the Gulf Cooperation Council, exploiting the entire working class of the Mashreq. As Adam Hanieh writes, “Paramount to achieving this vision is the economic and political integration of Israel into the region. It is very important to understand this point: normalization; (as it is called by the Palestinian and Arab left) is the sine qua non of MEFTA and the neoliberal vision for the region.” Of course, normalization depends on political stability (in the usual sense), and political stability means that the political conditions that will enable Israel to exist and braid economically and politically with the region have to be secured. That means the Egyptians better go back to their houses and dusty streets and quit misbehaving, and the concern with “stability” lies behind the threats from Obama’s goons to the SCAF. To tie it all up, this also lies behind the posturing from the Arab states about their “support” for a Palestinian state. What they support is a fig-leaf for collaboration. They too have populations to keep under control.”
Zionist embassy in Jordan was evacuated last night, one day ahead of schedule. Normally embassy staff leave for the weekend, but Naziyahu ordered their departure one day ahead of schedule. One foreign ministry official said that Jordan has a “responsible adult” supervising the police state there. State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland added that “Our hope is to avoid any spillover into the larger region.” Thus spake the slightly-nervous apparatchik.
