JerusalemAl-Rajabi family self-demolished their home in the neighborhood of Beit Hanina north of Jerusalem following an order from the Nazi municipality’s court under the pretext of building without a permit.Elias Rajabi explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the family self-demolished the house of Abeer Rajabi that was established 15 years ago.
Al-Rajabi added that the Nazi occupation municipality gave the family until Saturday night to execute the demolition order. Otherwise, the municipality crews will demolish the house and impose a fine of 60 thousand NIS on the family as the demolition costs.
Al-Rajabi explained that 7 individuals live in the 100-square meters house; Abeer and her husband along with five children.
The family attempted to obtain a building permit for several years but to no avail and claimed that the house is built on the edges of the street.
Also, the Nazi municipality imposed several fines with a total of 250 thousand NIS in addition to the large amounts of money paid for lawyers and engineers that attempted to prevent the demolition of the house.
