ed note–we here at TUT are oftentimes on the receiving end of emails from people supporting Golden Dawn. Our position on them is that the verdict is out, as we don’t yet know what to make of them. Certainly any nationalist-minded party trying to expose organized Jewish interests is a good thing, provided they are on the up and up and are smart about how they do it.
However, it is and has been our position that much of the behavior taking place on the part of GD or its members, particularly the violence against immigrants and Muslims–only serves one interest in this, and that of course is the Jews. By such behavior what GD is doing is to give Jewish interests credibility in painting all those who oppose them as violent thugs and this has played an indispensable role in the recent arrest of GD members and having them being charged as a criminal organization.
What we hear often is that organized Jewish groups are ‘terrified’ by GD. We disagree. With the kind of behavior exhibited in the video above, with a GD member who is also a member of the Greek Parliament repeatedly slapping a woman in the face on national TV, this does not frighten the Jews at all.
If there is any party they are worried about, it is Hungary’s Jobbik, who takes a measured, intelligent approach and who is advocating an alliance between the Christian west and the Muslim world against organized Jewry, and it may very well be that what is really at work here with the violent, thuggish behavior on the part of GD and the subsequent arrest of its members is a scheme on the part of organized Jewish interests who are trying to bring down Jobbik.
