Self-declared “former” Jew and anti-Zionist Gilad Atzmon has released a powerful video in which he discusses the concept that only by gaining an understanding of what Jewish culture actually is, can a solution be found to the threats to world peace which Israel poses.
The video, made by Atzmon in response to criticism of his writings and work by a Palestinian activist, makes the point that all historians, when seeking to explain events, delve back into the heritage, culture and contributing elements which make up the background to those events.
Yet somehow, Israel and Jewish culture is exempt from this process—and Atzmon ends this video with a call for this issue to be corrected.

Atzmon is correct. Abunimah’s lame statement to ignore culture is absurd. Culture is the driving force behind the norms, mores, and actions of a society. Ignoring it does not provide insights into understanding why, and to protect the sanctity of Jewish culture as it destroys Palestinian existence is damned hypocritical of Abunimah, to say the least.
