Detectives at West Midlands Police have launched a murder enquiry after three men died in a road traffic collision in Winson Green, Birmingham this morning (August 10).
It’s understood the men – two in their early 30s and one in his early 20s – were on foot in Dudley Road just after 1am when they were struck by a car.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested by police in connection with the incident and is being questioned by officers, whilst a vehicle has been recovered and will be examined by forensics experts.
A 60-strong team of detectives is working on the enquiry.

Understandably, emotions run high when people are faced with scenes of offenders damaging property or stealing from businesses owned by law-abiding residents in our communities.

We have already made more than 300 arrests during two nights of disorder on the streets and many of them are appearing before court this morning to face a range of charges including burglary and public order.
This evening the policing response will once again be strengthened with visible police resources safeguarding our streets and our communities. Criminal behaviour will not be tolerated.
West Midlands Police will not tolerate any aspect of this behaviour and everyone involved will be pursued, prosecuted and will face the severest consequences of the legal system.
We strongly advise families and communities to ensure they prevent their young people from getting involved, and report all information regarding the offenders directly to the police.
